Got a menu left at my door this am...worked out in the yard all day and didn't feel like cooking so we ordered from them...a veggie pizza...after 1 bite, I knew I had my favorite place for pizza. It had the same type of crust that my mother used to make for us on our Sunday night pizza nights...it took me back to a flavor I thought was lost. We will be back again, especially as we are so close! Thank you for a sweet memory...

Let's lead with saying the pizza we got last night was good. The Italian crust was thin, strong & crispy. The sauce was savory and the cheese amount was perfect. It was generously topped with a whole mess of meats - bacon, pepperoni, hamburger, sausage. A pure sodium bomb: I love this kind of pizza and my doctor probably hates that...Athena probably deserves 4 stars, but they need to fix their website first. Pizza-wise it is split into Greek and Italian pizza sections. Not everybody understands the difference, which lies mainly in the crusts.* More confusing is the Italian Meat pizza in Greek section. After placing my order for one, Athena actually called me back to ask me what I wanted. It appeared they didn't know what was on their web menu.This certainly ain't a deal breaker - lots of places contract out their online ordering and suffer similar hiccups. But it is a pain and should be fixed so customers are clear on what they've ordered. And what they'll be charged. Italian crusts under the same toppings will cost you more at Athena - but not every online entry makes that clear.Athena is the best pizza joint ever to occupy that space on Bound Road. So many others have shuttered mostly due to lack of demand for lack luster pizzas. I think Athena deserves a long run.Just fix the website... ;)*Greek is more like a thin focaccia cooked in an oiled, shallow pizza pan. Italian is hand-stretched and cooked on rimless pan or directly on the cooking surface.

Parking: Plenty of parking for a take-out place.

Not sure what it is about Rhode Island pizza but I can never find a place that doesn’t have stale tasting dough. Ordered a margarita pizza and there isn’t even tomatoes and the basil is from a shaker. Literally disgusting.

Companies like people make mistakes, it's how they rectify the problem that shows the difference between bad and good customer service. Athena Pizzeria showed exceptional service when our delivery was made to the wrong address, they remade our order and drove it right over, and apologized profusely. I'm giving 5 stars not only for the service but also for the pizza and calzone, both were delicious.
We were nervous as the previous pizzeria wasn’t to our liking. We were so pleasantly surprised. We ordered the “Italian style” and loved everything about it. Sauce, cheese, toppings and crust were all delicious. In our opinion, this is the best pizza in the area. Delivery was fast and the pizza was hot.

Just visited today for the first time. I actually met the owner of the pizzeria around December at the supermarket and he told me about the great food and price. I finally decided to go and I'm glad I did! Me and my kids loved the pizza. It has the perfect amount of cheese, it's not greasy, the cheese doesn't fall off, not too thick or floppy and it has a nice crunch to it. Staff were very friendly! Thank you!(Ordered the Italian style cheese pizza)

Good evening, i just ordered pizza from you guys today and i have to say and in my opinion it tasted delicious..they had told me that the waiting period was from 45 minutes to an hour and surprisingly it was delivered before time...the delivery guy was a nice gentleman with a good sense of humor...keep up the good team work ???????? many blessings and a Happy New Year's 2023 ????????

I did a delivery order and the owner himself delivered. He was very nice and you can tell he takes pride in this! The (italian hand tossed) pizza was amazing! The prices are great & there is a huge menu. Can't wait to try more. Also! They have Turkey Clubs which is impossible to find in other pizza places.
