Place was empty but we waited for someone to seat us -finally someone who wasn’t working sat us down with menus. The waitress was friendly so things started to look up until the food arrived none of us liked the egg rolls ( salty and the outside wasn’t cooked all the way). We had four dishes - lo mein was ok, sesame chicken was terrible ( chewy , and sauce too sweet) , broccoli chic was just meh! Over $100 for our bill ( only 1 drink). We won’t return. It’s not the service it’s the food.
Spend more than 50 you get two free apps bomb plates drinks Togo the Mai tai didn’t taste like anything but lq didn’t really like it service fast fresh will be back is pricey but worth it !!
A well known Chinese restaurant, great food as always.
Went to see a band. Servers we not all that nice. The food was ok when we got the correct meal. But it was a nice place to see a good band. $25 a person was absolutely insane I mean, it's woonsocket come on, get real.
The waitstaff is great ~ especially Sherri! The food is average but the live music they have is amazing. You can purchase tickets to attend concerts in a special room and this weekend I flew up from TN just to see Anthony Gomes! The shows were great and it's definitely an intimate setting. I've been going to Chans for almost 20years to see Anthony play. The room holds a certain amount and when that show is sold out it can become very crowded so you will make friends with your neighbors.
Saw a blues show here. Great venue! Lots of personality. Food's good too.
Food is excellent. Especially WonTon Soup, bone in ribs and the Scorpian bowl for one.
The staff and atmosphere are top-notch

It has been a very long time since I have been to Chans. Plenty of street parking and a giant free lot just for Chans directly across the street. I am pretty sure that this restaurant is older than me. I parked across the street. After getting out of the Mystery Machine it is impossible not to notice the very beautiful, well kept Asian facade on the building. You immediately get those old school vibes. Before you even enter they proudly have signage on the door that they take pride in hand making their Egg Rolls. The excitement begins. Walking in you see some spectacular Asian decor. Some of the art made with different materials takes up whole walls. It was like stepping back in time. They also had pictures up of famous people that have performed or visited, kinda like a Rhode Island Kowloon in a way.
I had good intentions on only getting a few things, I'm doing pretty well losing weight. However a good Chinese menu to me is probably like 50 Shades of Gray to a desperate housewife. Side note, if anyone wants to tie me up and have their way with me feeding me Chinese food we can make a Netflix special. 50 Shades of Pork Fried Rice.. The woman working were very friendly.
I ordered enough food that I started hearing Stevie Wonder and friends sing, We are the World. We are the world, we are the children, we are the ones that lobster sauce makes a brighter day so let's start eating.. And it's true you make a brighter day when Chinese food comes home with me.
The Farmaid people were like dude, can you like order some vegetables. Not tonight my Midwestern friends. I'll eat some of your animals though, not the one from the Muppets, he's too cool. Most people don't know that I belong to PETA (People Eat Tasty Animals).
While waiting for my food I sat at the bar. I had a cup of steam, cold, in it's liquid and solid state. The bartender was polishing the brass around the bar. The locals were extremely friendly. I really enjoyed my time, and I overly tipped my bartender for a free glass of water. You could tell she was a hard worker and made sure that I felt welcome. Other patrons and myself reminisced about when we use to be skinny. I was telling them about my morning shakes and nightly salads when a fork truck brought out my to go order. I told them it was for the needy. I needy my Chinese food.
The Hot and Sour Soup was thick, had a nice flavor, a touch of tangy sweetness and was overall pretty solid.
***Egg Rolls*** These lived up to the sign on the front door. A nice strong celery flavor mixed with pork and some spices. These were legit!
**Chicken Wings** These were perfectly marinated. The kind we grew up on. Absolutely delicious!
*Beef Teriyaki* These had a delicious flavor, marinated throughout. I could taste some notes of ginger, no Gilligan. They could have been more tender, but the flavors helped me overlook that.
Spareribs on the Bone Side note, my nickname in high school was "The Bone." Some say it's because I looked like the dude on Growing Pains. Others said it was because of that time in coed gym class I forgot to wear underwear with sweatpants. Either way, I owned it. The ribs were what we were use to growing up. They were meaty, not dry and had a pretty good flavor. They weren't the star of the show, but they weren't bad either. Some ribs I put on a pedestal, usually when my coffee table is dirty.. These I would consider middle of the road. I would also consider getting them again, but I wouldn't go out of my way like I do for some of my favorite ribs.
**Lobster Sauce** My picture doesn't do this justice. Some of the best flavored, very thick and full of pork, old school Lobster Sauce that I have had in a while. The flavors were strong without being salty or sweet. Brought me back to my childhood, and I didn't have to microdose. Nice job Chef!! You can or

The epitome of arrogance. They know they have the best chinese in Woonsocket. I wonder if they have a plaque for that.
