It used to be very good but has progressively gone downhill. The food was always hot and fresh as long as you went when it was busy. If it’s slow, the food has been sitting in the hot trays for quite some time and a few items may not even be available. We try to get the lunch price before 3, but if you get there before 3 and don’t leave till after 3 , they will try to charge for the dinner price. Last visit was weekday about 2:30 visit and the food was eh, ok. We got charged for the dinner price because my wife ate something from the buffet that was supposed to be part of the dinner items? Anyway, they didn’t want to budge on this fact and combined with the poor quality of everything else that day……. I’m done. Told wife “we’re never going back” It was just their attitude that turned me off.

Go at the busy times. I have went here for years but to have them tell me pick from the bottom so it's hot ....that's not right. I have still gone back because I like the food but then to have a staff member standing a foot behind me n talk shit...for what I'm picking....maybe there food should be hot.... After many years of visiting different Chinese Restaurants in Massachusetts, I just want to tell you: The Empire buffet in Woonsocket is the Best. Me and my Wife go there every single weekend, we just don't go daily because we live far away. I forgot to tell you that this Restaurant has been open at the same location for more than 20 years, so something good and tasty they have to be doing... Think about it.
The bathrooms are really clean. The food is amazing, but I’m not a fan of the mac & cheese.
