The person who took my order today was nothing short of AMAZING!!! Her personality and ability to handle jokes and just be a happy person on a hot sticky day was great! I literally will be back just because of her! I wish I caught her name. I got a Turkey & Bacon Sub with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and pickles! on a toasted bun with cold meats and OMG it was so good!!!!! BEST I've ever had! And it was stuffed so much I was full after 1/2 so I have 1/2 for tomorrow.

I’ve been coming here for years, have bent been here in quite a while though. So I was happy when I found out I was working in the area of J’s. My normal go to is the gobbler, or the godfather but I figured I’d try something new. It was good, but still love my go to’s better. But for a sandwich shop, you can’t beat J’s if you’re in the area. They have so many to choose from, the portions are great, and the sandwiches themselves are always consistently good in my experience. My one gripe is not having ice on site. I wish they offered ice for their bottle beverages. It would be a welcomed bonus.so if you never have tried this place, it’s worth the stop.

Honestly, the best steak and cheese that I've ever had been all over the country have not been to Philly, though, and honestly, for what you paid for what you get. It's great sandwiches well made a rapping in a way that the cheese doesn't stick to the paper it's not a normal sub roll to different styles of bread that's softer. How do you beat 1299 with 1399 for a big Subs sodas elf french fries potato chips and their choice of sandwiches it'll take you a few minutes to figure out what you want because every sub has a name

My daughter got the 49er w/bacon and I got the gobbler with fries and a blonde. The sandwiches and fries were excellent ! Great bang for the buck. Haha unfortunately I forgot to look in my bag and check for my dessert. So I'll have to try it next time😪

Came in at 12.40 they were prepping their sauce cups for the day. There were two takeout order receipts on their que aside from my own. I watched as they told me to wait and began prepping each order as they arrived to pick up. Nothing was done before. When the 1 o clock wave hit them they were already under water. At 30 min waiting on waffle fries to be put in the frier I canceled my order and went on to find somone who respects my time.

Usually J's is very good but it definitely wasn't on my last visit. I got the skipper and a steak and cheese eggroll. The skipper is fried cod with extra melt sharp American cheese, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. This was absolutely horrendous. It was beyond obvious that the cod was pre made, battered and frozen like the kind you can buy at a grocery store but worse. Gortons brand even blows this one out of the water. This sandwich had way too much cheese and tartar sauce which leads me to the worse part of the sandwich, the tartar sauce. It was disgustingly sweet like it had been made with sweetened condensed milk. J's should never attempt a fish sandwich again, you can get much better at a fast food restaurant for half of the price. The skipper is most certainly a skipper in my book.
I also had one steak and cheese eggroll at a whopping $3.49. It was actually in a spring roll wrapper so I'm not sure why they're trying to pass it off as an eggroll. It was way below average, small and mostly cheese with barely any steak. An easy waste of money.
They have a big menu online but only about 1/4 of the menu is displayed at this location. They also have the world's smallest selection of Pepsi products. A good amount of Coke products though. My last visit was beyond disappointing and a big shocker coming from J's. I think I'll stay away from this place for awhile.
