How this place has any positive reviews I guess the bar is so low these days. Service was fab. Food was horrid. Tell me these r local shrimp. Not! Fried clams were nothing but fried breading without any clams..they disintegrated . Same with oysters. Prices r not horrid cause it's nothing but fried frozen crap. The shrimp and grits was nothing but overseasoned grits with tasteless shrimp. Drink prices not too bad if u get house wine. It was pretty crowded but I like good food. I won't be back. I am not trying to be negative. I want r local places to thrive. But I can cook. I know what good food tastes like. I refuse to compromise. But if it's good for u go for it.

“Aiken Fish House: Where the Flavor Hits Harder Than the Manager” It was a humid Thursday evening. The sky hung low, purple with tension. I pulled into the Aiken Fish House lot craving fried catfish and inner peace. Then—chaos. Some guy in a tank top near the entrance was yelling. Said the hush puppies was “mid.” Big mistake. Like a shadow gliding from the kitchen, the manager appeared. Calm. Confident. Apron blowing in the breeze like a battle flag. He didn’t speak. He just walked—slow motion—toward the noise. The guy kept mouthing off. And then? Boom. The manager lifted this man with the grace of a ballet dancer and the fury of Poseidon, and body-slammed him onto the hood of a 2008 Dodge Charger. Sparks flew. A flock of pigeons scattered. A child in the corner dropped his hush puppy in awe. Someone whispered, “Is that… legal?” No one answered. We were too busy watching greatness. I went inside. Ordered the fried catfish platter with a side of mac & cheese. It tasted like it had been blessed by angels and lightly uppercutted by Zeus. The sweet tea? Strong enough
Best place For sea food , must visit
We wanted to go to Aiken Fish house to try their new menu items. The food was good as is typical. The new menu now charges extra for premium sides and doesn’t offer a couple of the items from before such as grouper. We were disappointed in that because my son wanted to order a grouper. The waitress was sweet and the place was clean. The sweet potato fries were really good as were the collard greens. My baked potato was dense and dry, so be sure to request a fresh one. And my catch of the day was very tiny as far as the size. If I had known that I would’ve ordered something different. I’m happy that we have this restaurant in Aiken, and will go again.
A shout out to Dana, our server at the bar tonight! My order of blackened shrimp platter was perfect, but my wife ordered the Philly sandwich and really wasn’t happy with it! She very politely mentioned it to Dana and Dana handled the situation absolutely perfectly! “Let’s get you something you really like, no questions asked!” We brought home the shrimp basket that my wife loves! And Dana deducted the Philly sandwich from our check. We love Aiken Fish House and can’t wait to return! Oh, it’s incredibly unusual for either of us to do something like this, just so you know!
Fantastic fish and chips! It pairs perfectly with the Tidal Creek Backwater American Brown Ale. Great service and ambiance as well. 🍻
I like the food here and usually have a good experience, but Layla was super rude. EDIT: The owner reached out and apologized and ensured this would be addressed!
Food was very disappointing.

We love this place. Always fun, casual and delicious!!
Drove down on the golf cart as usual! Was super excited about the new menu. Holy guacamole May the 4th be with you the fish house crew has blown it out the water! Its the largest menu i have seen since AFH opened! Its loaded with a lot of good stuff! We had pimento cheese shrimp jelly jam w/ naan and hush puppies. One of the best appetizers I’ve ever had! Wings were wings but the Teri Hot sauce reminded me of Wife Savers flavor back in the day. Daughter had poke bowl and loved it and fiancé had blacked salmon. We loved everything we had and was very pleased
Aiken Fish House was amazing… do not leave Aiken without visiting them… you won’t regret it !!
Some of the best shrimp and grits I have had. Hush puppies are tasty. Firecracker shrimp are spicy. Would love to enjoy more often.
My husband and I went for the first time and were super excited, based on reviews. However, the calamari and gator tail were blended and flavorless. Fried Pickles were excellent.. The grilled grouper was over salty and not enough seasoning. Also, the smallest grouper I've ever seen.. Mac and cheese was very good. The steamed broccoli was cooked perfectly. Our server was excellent! We may return to give them a second chance. But, if it's the same. We will not return for a third time. Especially for the price.
