Paid the same price for breakfast as you would for lunch/dinner buffet with very few items. Eggs were not edible, waffle was stone cold. No effort put into anything.

We love eating at Dukes on Whiskey Rd in Aiken and we ordered it to cater our wedding. It was not ready at the 4:00 pm pickup though it was ordered and planned months in advance with a confirmation call two days prior to pickup. The groom and best man were only put off schedule by twelve minutes, but after they left with the food I received a phone call that they forgot to give them one of the main entree meats. Had they gone back they would’ve been late for the wedding. One of our guests went to get the food and just barely made it back in time.

Had great expectations and that may be why I was less than thrilled. Saturday at 2:30, the parking lot was overflowing and the place was packed. Check in was fast and the buffet line starts 20' from the register. Everything is well arranged. The buffet line is huge, just about anything one could want. Plenty of meat choices, veggies, salad bar stuff, two serve-yourself drink stations, a couple desserts and an ice cream machine. Bathroom was small but clean. As for the meats - baked and fried chicken, one type bbq, ribs, pork chops and chicken tenders. Foam plates, plastic utensils, and disposable drink cups. Six types of sauce. The bbq had plenty of smoke taste. Teh ribs were tender but covered in a heave bbq sauce. The hushpuppies and potato salad had no taste. The tea was warm in the dispenser thus melting the crushed ice. That dilutes the flavor. Solved that problem by going to the other drink station. Nothing terribly wrong and clearly plenty of folks like the place. I'm an hour away and have choices that are just as good much closer. The price is OK because they have a senior discount but the big place closer to me that's just as good is a couple bucks cheaper.

It was good....seating is a bit crowded, because they were super busy. Got a little miffed when the lady told us we couldn't get a to go plate for our daughter at 7:03 because they stop doing to go at 7...not the best customer service IMO. The sauces could have more description. Overall a good place to eat and not a bad price.
Vegetables kinda bland. But everything was alright. Very reasonable price and you don't go away hungry.

Placed a to go order: The potatos in the potato salad was not cooked properly. Some of them still hard and no seasoning. The ribs was mostly fat and no seasoning. The hush puppies must of have been cooked the day before because they was hard as a brick. The pork also was not seasoned. It was like they just threw it in the trays and sent you on your way. This will be the last time I purchase food to go. This was not $80 well spent. I have eaten at the restaurant before but no comparison.
It’s an Aiken tradition. I always eat the exact same thing. Where else can you get rutabagas? Also they have fabulous fried chicken as well as Black Eyed Peas and Lima beans!

We went and had the new breakfast buffet. The only thing that stopped it from being 5 stars was the eggs. I'm not a baked egg person & was looking for fresh scrambled. We really enjoyed everything else but the pattied sausage was really good. We'll go back.....
