Me and my girlfriend ate here, only because it was the closest place to our AirBnb rental. Wasn’t rated as good as other Mexican places nearby but we both absolutely loved it. Authentic food, the salsa was solid and came with free queso with beef dip which almost no other places do! She had the ribeye steak with eggs and vegetables and I had the fajitas with beef, shrimp, and chicken. Came with lots of grilled onions and great variety of other things besides the 3 meats. Imho this is the best Mexican restaurant in town (except maybe for that food truck in front of Mavis Tire)
There are 2 reasons why Maria's stands out above the rest...
1. When dining in, they offer you chips, salsa, plus their 'Maria dip' which is queso/beef/bean dip. No other restaurant adds that and it's delicious.
2. Last time I checked, they do not pass along the 3% merchant transaction fee when using a card to pay. This is...

Maria's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Aiken. Very clean, great food and service. My favorite item on the menu is Gorditas, and you can't find it anywhere else. Try it with carnitas (roast pork). Also, Maria's is family owned.
