My wife and I tried The Pizza Joint for the first time tonight. We started with the mozzarella sticks, that came out hot and fast. More sticks than most places too. We got the large "Big" pizza which I think comes with everything. I must say, I don't think I have ever tasted a better pizza. This is what pizza should taste like. Gretta was our waitress, and she was on her game, could not have asked for anything better. We will be back.
Having just relocated to the area this is the first place we tried. Ordered online. Second pizza was wrong and had to wait to remake it. Then they forgot the garlic knots and had to make them. Cold first pizza when we got home with it. No apology on anything. I had also prepaid a 20 percent tip and wish I hadn't done that. Having owned restaurants myself I was shocked at the lack of concern with me as a customer. Won't go back.
Having a long wait at another pizza place, we took the chance of going to this local joint and it was a good experience. Rather than another pizza, I opted for the spaghetti with meatballs. A nice portion, with a good red sauce and the meatballs seemed to have a bit of a kick to them. Wife had a nice salad. The topper was their dessert dish of fried bread with cinnamon and icing. They were delicious and I'd go back just for those.
Great Food, even though I don't really care for Pizza, they can change one's mind about it. Being more chubbier at that time, I was, of course, disrespected. However, the food was pretty decent. This was before April 2020, however.
We come almost every Monday. The Pizza Joint isn’t fancy but that’s part of its charm. A warm, cozy place with great beers, fantastic music and friendly staff. But it’s the pizza that we come back for. With its fresh crust, flavorful sauce, toppings and just the perfect amount of mozzarella. Highly recommend for a really nice experience!
This is one of the best place to get good pizza in Aiken, unfortunately the pizza can be hit or miss. There is no consistency, I always order see the same slice snd it’s always slightly different.
Honestly I just came here for the dessert . I would have tried a calzone or pizza but I was on limited time so instead I chose to try a sweet treat and I tried the zeppole which I loved greatly. Very worth it perhaps next time when I get a chance I'll try the calzone.
We were looking for a simple pizza meal and it was near our hotel, so we went to Pizza Joint. Our server was very sweet, bit not familiar with the menu. Our order took a very long time to get to us. My j*** chicken calzone was not spicy (no j*** that I could tell) at all. My wife ordered a pizza that was supposed to have artichokes on it -- she could not tell there were any. And the patio could have been cleaner. Not a very good meal for us.
We love the food and great service! We love the owner and the staff and they never dissapoint!!
You can’t go wrong with pizza and a salad, or Can you? I wanted to dine there and have a beer with my pizza but due to the pandemic all seating was outside. I’m good with that except there were a lot of flies. I like that you can get pizza by the slice with a salad there. They reheat the pizza and that’s a thin line. A little reheating OK. curled up pepperoni is not OK. I Consumedmy draft beer as I waited for the pizza. It was a bit of a wait. And with all the flies I decided to get the food for takeout and go back to my hotel. The food was OK. It would probably be better if you were ordering a whole pizza which they would make fresh in the moment. The word Joint is apropos. It is a pizza joint And it filled the void in my stomach. I’m not sure if I would go there again and less I could dine in. To be continued

better food ,better service
Tried to dine here this evening and we were not welcomed at all and then finally we were seated and ignored. Went to Variety instead, which was filled to capacity but they kept checking on us as we waited to be seated and they had great service.
Friends wanted to go, even though we heard bad reports, unfortunately we confirmed it. Fried pickles and drinks were just OK, but the waitress very nice and attentive. The pizza I ordered was OK accept the toppings were very sparse; there was sausage but I barely found the onions and mushrooms. The chicken soup would have been good but it was extremely salty. We ordered a calzone but the wrong one came, so one person didn't eat. Finally, to top it off a friendly palmetto bug (we know what it really is) walked up the wall next to our table.
I thought I'd give them a 2nd chance at take out... Should have gone with my first take. First off the bill was astronomical! A large pj margarita with caramelized onions and mushrooms and a large house salad. My bill was 38.00! That's New England prices! I picked it up, the told me they were out of mushrooms so I didn't get charged but it was still 38.00. I opened the box, thankfully while I was still there, it was suppose to come with basil. There was literally 2 leaves at most torn into pieces. I had requested extra basil. I also asked if they had sliced motz. They said no just shredded. The pizza had mini motz balls sliced and there were maybe 5 total on the pie. The salad was only 1 roma tomato sliced with iceberg lettuce and a handful of stale croutons. I'm not sure if ordering in house is better but I've order now 2x for pickup, although I lived in CT and had New Haven pizza which is famous and amazing, I didn't expect this to match that quality but come on how can you mess up cheese and a house salad?? Do not recommended take out.
I got the jsut as the "Lunch Special" was ending. For $10, I got a drink (sweet tea, the jug wine of the Bible Belt), a good-sized salad, and a huge slice of freshly baked pizza (with a reasonably thin crust) with up to two toppings. I was stuffed for almost the rest of the day! And, the quality and service were first rate, Parking can be a bit tricky. Made more so on my visit as the Aiken PD had one driveway blocked with a traffic stop. (Watch out for an unmarked Ford pickup truck!) I'm coming back!
