New Ownership, New Standards — Prime Steakhouse in Aiken is a Game-Changer! My husband and I had the pleasure (and I do mean pleasure) of dining at Prime Steakhouse in Aiken under its new ownership—and let me tell you, the bar for local fine dining has just been raised dramatically. We last dined here on New Years Eve in 2022 and I made the decision not to come back. That is.... until now. Let’s talk steak: I ordered the 14oz Ribeye and my husband had the 8oz Filet Mignon—both cooked to a textbook perfect medium rare. The sear? Flawless. The tenderness? Knife glided through like warm butter. The flavor? Rich, juicy, and deeply satisfying. Honestly, they could’ve served the steaks on a napkin and I would’ve been thrilled—but no, they came accompanied by the most delicious garlic mashed potatoes and crispy onion rings that made us both pause mid-bite to say, “Whoa.” But wait—we added the Pomegranate Honey Brussels Sprouts, and folks, I don’t say this lightly: I would fight a stranger for those sprouts. Sweet, tangy, caramelized to perfection—it's the kind of side dish you plan your next visit around. The atmosphere is inviting, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell the new ownership is putting serious heart and soul into this place. They’re not just flipping steaks—they’re flipping the whole reputation of this restaurant, and it shows. This isn’t just a steakhouse—it’s a statement. I’ve dined at top steakhouses across this continent, and Prime is officially in my top two (and honestly, it might just take the crown). Do yourself a favor: make a reservation, bring someone you like enough to share bites with, and prepare to have your expectations redefined. Bring your clients!! Bring your special moments to celebrate here! You will not regret it! Aiken, this is your new Prime cut!

For what the food costs you would expect more. We were a party of four a two of us ordered the same dish, one rare covered in blue cheese the other medium with mushrooms. The meat temperature was mixed up in the kitchen so we did not get what we ordered. When we brought it to the server’s attention she could have cared less. The dressing for the salad was “different” and I was sick all night from it. If you’re paying $100.00 a plate you should get what you ordered. Never going back, ambiance is horrible.

Memorial Day evening with a party of 9. We had a blast. Service was detailed and food was amazing. They went above and beyond for our large group! Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s fine dining! We got every ounce of our moneys worth!

Lovely dinner in a favorite downtown! Such a walkable downtown & this fine establishment was perfect! Loved the Lump Crab appetizer! Ribeye gorgeously red in middle to our order. Salmon special was delicious! We were able to relax after six hours on the holiday highway. Excellent choice!

Great experience. Drinks were made to perfection and the steaks were cooked perfectly.

Wonderful experience and steaks. Summer makes the best cocktails and was very attentive!

This hidden gem was what my husband and I needed for a night out. It reminded me of a cute, quaint, romantic spot in Birmingham. The hostess was very cordial as was the server. I will say she was the best in the place and we made sure to let her know when we left her a nice tip! She's a treasure! The food was absolutely delicious. I started off with the crab cake as an appetizer. My husband had calamari. We chose the filet mignon and cowboy ribeye with an added lobster tail for our entrees. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I had only one small issue which was that my steak came out warm instead of hot. I mentioned it to our server but declined sending it back. I declined because I didn’t want to wait and have my husband finish eating before I could eat and it was as seasoned so well until I just looked past that small detail. Other than my butter not melting on my steak, everything was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to dine again!

Very disappointing food! My crab cakes ($42!!) were too salty, and the crab was not high quality lump crab. This place is expensive and not worth it!!

The Tbone steak was well worth the money. It comes with mashed potatoes and onion rings. Delicious and big portions. Odered the sherry mushrooms and they were so delicious, enough for 3 people. Best meal ever!

Expensive but worth it Matt was a great help and he is an excellent waiter
Kat (?) Hostess/ GM made sure that we were blown away by the entire experience
Steaks were perfect
Lobster bisque the best I ever had
Creme burlee 5 stars

Way way way overpriced. My cocktail tasted like nothing but grenadine for 16 bucks. In a glass the size of a small orange juice glass. 28 for for shrimp? I ordered a baked potato , ten bucks and they tell me later mashed potatoes came with the steak. Never said that on the menu. Sides were ridiculous in price and 72 for the tip
They automatically charge 20 percent. I like to determine my own tip which is usually 15. Expected about a 350 bill that ended up five hundred. They can keep that place. Won’t ever go back. My brothers steak was overdone and the sautéed spinach was bitter as hell. My steak was good but that’s about it.

What a great restaurant. Nice atmosphere to go along with great steaks and sides. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

I cannot recommend Prime. The food was bland and overpriced. Spinach was incredibly oily and flavorless. The oysters were decent and the cake was fine, but it being a steakhouse means the steak should shine through and it was by far the worst part of the meal.

Front of house were friendly though so that was a redeeming part.

From the very friendly staff to the perfectly timed courses, every was awesome. The food was delicious. Our steaks were tender, and the sides were great.
