Steak was a bit tough and chewey, almost choked on that first bite. Other than that, it was good.

I took my wife and our son and daughter in law here because they live in Atlanta and always talk about the great steakhouses they have. We drove from Augusta and I was excited because the last times I ate here it was incredible and good was cooked to perfection. NOT the case this time. My son ordered the filet med-rare and it was very very rare and cool in the center but he ate it. I ordered the ribeye Pittsburgh seared and, while the sear was nice, the steak was more towards medium but enjoyable. My wife ordered a medium filet and it was closer to well done and somewhat dry. While my wife is not one to complain, I would have sent her steak back had I known. When I pulled up the reviews, I see where the restaurant changed ownership and now I understand. I spent over $400 and expected much better. Sad that a restaurant group can’t keep up with the quality of private ownership.

Amazing food and service! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was classy but comfortable. Definitely the best spot in Aiken!

The food was delicious. We ranged from Crab Cakes to 3 different types of steak. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The garlic mashed potatoes were also great. The only reason my overall rating is not higher, is the value. Pretty pricey when I have had food just as good, for half the cost.

Not sure how it was possible to split a dinner and still have a $200 tab. Could be an $18 split plate fee? (2nd plate had mashed potatoes with a hard crust from being under the warmer and 2 onion rings, we had to split our own steak at the table --a little awkward). We've talked for a while about trying out Prime as the owner advertises having his own cattle ranch. Coming from a family of butchers, I was excited for a great cut of beef. We split the 24 oz bone in cowboy steak and it was gristly and underdone. Our server Raven was fabulous and attentive. The wine list was very minimal and low quality. My husband's spinach was lukewarm. 4 tables on a Friday night and 4 servers, the bartender and plastic-aproned dishwasher all playing on their phones. We were very disappointed.

This was no where worth what we paid for. After waiting an hour and a half for our meal to come the steak was severely overcooked. The only bright point was our waitress was very nice and kept apologizing

Since the new owner has taken over at prime I had not eaten there until recently. I must say I was totally underwhelmed and disappointed. Gone was the classic steakhouse menus, quality beef and extensive upscale wine menu. Gone was the personal touch of the owner and the friendly greeting at the front of the house. The hostess had an expression on her face that made us feel as if we were an inconvenience, not a smile nor a warm welcome to be found. The steak I ended up ordering-the cowboy rib eye), as they were out of my two preferred choices (filet and rib eye), was gristly and almost inedible. The wine choices were abysmal and not at all what I expected, not one high end wine and VERY limited choices. Next time I want a steak I think either Longhorn or Outback would provide a better meal. On the upside our waitress was lovely and attentive, none of this was her fault.

Great meal, had a wonderful server. The steak and salad were excellent. The baked potato was overcooked and slightly green on the jacket. A premium steakhouse should have a decent potato.
