Met a friend tonight for my first visit and it was simply amazing. The bartender when we walked in was the manager, he was very informative, very personable, even noticed when I got a little warm and turned the air down for me. That is attention to detail! The manager traded off bar tending duties with a young man and we asked about food. He was very knowledgeable, he went into great detail on the items that we asked about, and suggested a few more items. He had a great personality. We had chicarones (pork belly) bites and picadillo tacos. Both were very good. Someone seated nearby ordered one of their burgers. It smelled amazing and was so big I’m really not sure how they were going to bite into it. This is a place that I will return to as there were many things that I want to try on the menu plus when you get great service, you want to go back! I highly recommend you stop by very soon.
We dined here a few weeks ago for the first time. First, the waiter and bartender were superb! Very attentive and the drinks were on par! The owners are also so welcoming! I highly recommend the beef empanadas and the lamb chops. The bacon bites were ok. If you like a crisp with a hint of lemon, you will love them but I personally would like more flavor. This place is perfect for a date night or ladies night out. We will definitely be back!
The best ! Salsa too !
This place is a hidden gem! It’s not that Aiken Downtown is THAT big but somehow I always forget about this place and every time I go my friends and I say it’s like being on vacation lol! The food is fantastic, the drinks are fabulous and the prices are reasonable, so please don’t change a thing!
The menu has so many great options that it was hard to choose. The lamb was great, the burger was huge, the fries are phenomenal. Service is friendly and informative. The atmosphere is incredible and the decor is spot on. Definitely cannot recommend enough.
The best Cuban Food on the South
Delicious first impression. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
Food is okey, small plates, lots of tapas plates. More of mix Mexican with Caribbean vibe. Just a place to have drinks and smoke cigars. Don’t expect to get full with dinner or lunch. Service needs to improve it took a long time to get an order in and receive what ever you ordered. Scott was an excellent server but he was running around helping everyone. He was not our waiter but if he didn’t help us our beer & food it would have never came. Second server needs a lot of help. Jazz was nice and had a 2 men trio. I had 3 lamb lollipops chops with a tiny small salad on a dessert plate. Hubs had tiny bowls rice & beans, and one empanada. Not a lot of real Cuban food. Maybe it’s called fusion Cuban.
No hazys only one IPA. They do have crafts beers and can beers and lots of wine. Total $100.00
Just had the Cuban Burger offered on the new menu. Hands down, the best burger I could ever have imagined! Also the specialty drinks are made from real fresh squeezed juice. Amazing. So glad we have this alternative venue in Aiken!
Love the salty plantains! Cuban sandwich also wonderful. Very spacious, luxury seating, friendly service, tasty food and drinks - awesome experience!

Not my cup of tea. Service was excellent, high prices and the food wasn't that good. If you want a hangout for drinks, cigars, and meet with the Aiken "Elite" then this is your place.

I'm very disappointed in having to write a review like this, especially since this particular establishment is fairly new, and I was absolutely looking forward to becoming a regular patron, but I believe in being transparent. I've been a regular in the downtown aiken for the last 4 years and have had nothing but great service and amazing food. Yesterday (3/1/2025) I was downtown to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I just so happened to notice the Rhumba establishment while walking around with my daughter and her friends. I decided to go inside to see the establishment's cigar selections and learn more about thier membership. When I first walked in I was greeted by a very friendly and professional gentleman. I told the gentleman that it was my first time visiting the place and wanted to see the cigars, to which he kindly obliged. He was very helpful and knowledgeable which truly impressed me. I asked him if he could give me a few minutes to grab one of my good friends who was visiting from out of town so that he could also see the establishment, given that he too enjoys a great cigar. I stepped outside for maybe 5 minutes to show my friend how to get to Rhumba before we both walked in. This time, I was greeted by a female who seemed to have a very nasty and rude attitude. I told her that I was talking to a gentleman who was showing me the cigar selections and giving me details about the lounge, but I couldn't remember his name. I told her that I think his name was Adrian but wasn't sure, to which she gave a snappy remark saying there's nobody here named Adrian. I reiterated that I couldn't remember his name but that I could describe him, to which she rudely said only one male works here. It was by this time where I began to wonder if this particular individual was either having a bad day or if there was something along the lines of racial profiling, but I ignored it. Instead of grabbing the gentleman she decided to reluctantly take my friend and I back to the cigar selections. My friend who is very knowledgeable in the type of cigars asked a couple of questions and the woman just gave rude responses to which ultimately, we decided to leave due to feeling unwelcomed. In all the times I've been to downtown aiken and patroned the many establishments, Rhumba is the first one I've ever been to where I truly felt unwelcomed. It's quite a shame given that downtown aiken is very beautiful and this particular lounge is a lot closer then the lounge I go to in North Augusta.

"A Perfect Spot for Cigar Enthusiasts!"
I had an amazing experience at Rhumba! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, with an impressive selection of cigars that any enthusiast would appreciate. Rayvn and Summer were incredibly knowledgeable, guiding me to the perfect cigar for my taste and even sharing helpful tips about pairing cigars with drinks. The lounge itself was spacious, clean, and had comfortable seating, making it a great place to unwind. I’ll definitely be returning for more enjoyable evenings. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier cigar experience!
