Got a sushi roll to go for $15.99 plus tip. Was 90+% rice and almost zero filling. I can make a roll of rice at home for much cheaper. No option to post pictures that I can see. The equivalent of Kroger sushi. So disappointing!!

Service was great, I believe our waitress’ name was Kristen. The pineapple jalapeño margarita was very good! The food was not however. I got the shrimp shumai and jalapeño poppers. The shrimp were very fishy. I ate one and it immediately made me queasy. I threw it up. They did take that off the bill. The poppers came later bc they were out and they had to be made fresh. They were very crispy but they’ve were not stuffed jalapeños, they were skinny strips of pepper with a little bit of cream cheese in a giant batter sleeve. No chorizo (listed on the menu description) at all. I’m guessing they were low on ingredients and tried to pass it off anyway. The tiny pepper strips and lack of chorizo meant they were pretty flavorless. The queso they came with for dipping was good though. I don't think I’ll return but if I did I would just get drinks and chips and queso.

Ingredients are very good, however the assembly of rolls an nigiri were very amateurish. Service was good but very slow Lovely al fresco location.

I have been going here for years and the food and service have always been top notch. However, a visit this past Saturday was surprising when I was served an order of yellow tail and mackerel sashimi. I’m including a photo of the dish that was presented but should have never left the kitchen. I thought it was raw chicken and cat food. Our waitress was lovely, it was not her fault but we did learn that the regular sushi chef was on medical leave and whomever was covering had no idea what they were doing. I’ll be back again for sure but am gonna to wait a few months.

One of my favorite places here in Aiken. Food is always great, consistent, polite wait staff, and no matter if I am eating in or taking it home, the best sushi in Aiken!

One of our favorite restaurants in the whole CSRA

Paid $19.70 and waited an hour just to unwrap what might be the burrito’s evil twin. If you’re not ordering online, expect to be treated like background noise while DoorDash orders get VIP service. Might be heaven for app users, but if you’re actually dining in? Bring snacks—you’ll need them.

Extremely disappointing. We arrived for dinner AFTER the rush and it still took over an hour and a half to get our food. Rude server, no attempt to make up for the delay in service. We've eaten here many times in the past and this is by far the worst experience. Don't plan to come back. When the food did finally arrive it was disappointing. How long does it take to make tacos?!

Nice location and wonderful staff and atmosphere. It was Amp the Alley and we were fortunate enough to sit outside. Food was great and the service Lexie provided was top notch. Met with CJ the manager as well and he was very courteous and checked in on us and surrounding tables often.

Great experience and highly recommend if you’re in the area. Be patient as well, Amp the Alley was great but it definitely was busy for all the businesses and alley. Also, if you sit outside, be advised that it’s a 90-minute time limit, but with the number of people wanting to be part of amp the alley, we completely understood! Manager was kind and courteous when reminding us of time limits as well. Greatly appreciated and will be back.

Food poisoning from squid salad.
The fried chicken in the pork belly taco had the consistency of fish... how...
The spicy tuna looked like a gelatin block.

TakoSushi offers a unique mix of Asian and Southwestern cuisine, and they do a great job! Plus there’s options for your whole party when you can’t choose between tacos or sushi. The Crazy Roll was fresh and flavorful, while the Chicken Pimento Cheese Taco had the perfect sweet and savory combination. The Three Amigos is an excellent appetizer with tasty salsa, queso, and guacamole that’s sure to please the whole table. Our server Kristen was fantastic and the place has cool ambiance for quick lunch or nice date with comfortable outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

Beware, beware, beware!!

I’m not sure if there are new owners or new management but something has drastically changed. Last night, my wife and I visited the Takosushi In Aiken. Absolutely no complaints of the food, but the music was loud and horrendous If you have kids and want to go to dinner, take time to look up the words to this song that was blasting. “Let Em Know” by Bryson Tiller. I had to use Shazam to figure out what the song was.
