This hidden secret is amazing! Great food and great service!
Went here this morning. Ordered a cheese omelet. I got an egg pancake with bits of cheese cooked in it and folded in half. Worst breakfast I have ever eaten in my life
Let’s start by saying I had no idea…we found this place on TikTok. This place is hidden in an elder community in Aiken. Upon entering we saw that we were the only African Americans customers in the cafe. That doesn’t bother me it’s not the first time. The cashier literally said “y’all must be visiting” I mean ok, it is what it is no one bothered us, we ate, took pictures and left. If the customers said anything it wasn’t to us or they waited until we were gone.
Relaxed hometown cafe - frirnds gather and relax - the food and coffee are scrumptious!
Sub par experience at lunch. Beef stew good. Corned beef sandwich so so. Thin portion of meat, no Swiss cheese, coleslaw, hardly any thousand island dressing, bread not fresh. Asked for extra thousand island , was told 30 cents , I declined. At $19, way overpriced.
A waste of a good location.
Needs a more engaging approach with customers
Love eating here for Sunday Brunch. It’s a great place for a down home breakfast. Need to get over for some lunch!
I took a friend there for Sunday brunch/lunch. I ordered the eggs benedict and a cappuccino. The coffee arrived luke warm and the eggs benedict came on an untoasted English muffin. The eggs were also luke warm and the muffin was inedible ….I have never eaten an untoasted English muffin..it tasted awful. It also states on the menu the muffin would be toasted. I sent it back and was refunded. My friend also ordered a cappuccino that arrived barely warm and the quiche. The quiche was not hot and the the so called biscuits that came with it were two small round lumps that looked nothing like a true biscuit. I was so disappointed. I was hoping to find a decent place to have lunch occasionally. Don’t waste your time or money.

I don't go to the Village Cafe for the food. In fairness, I have not sampled everything on the menu and the quiche is very good. I have never liked the coffee, but over the years it is the same coffee. I love going to the Village Cafe for the patio that my friend and I enjoy after walking the trail that surrounds the Village. For that reason, I will return.
Returned to the Village Deli today. I enjoyed my standard favorites of quiche and a dirty chai Latte. Even though it was a chilly morning, the iced version was still enjoyed.

Best flat light in aiken. Salmon bagels with sesame and cream cheese are the best.

I'm currently sitting in the restaurant, having waited 30 minutes for a to-go order of a sandwich, half a sandwich, and a cup of soup. I've just been informed that it will take a little longer. This is a ridiculous wait for my order, especially when I see others receiving their food before me, after I've arrived. I will not return.

First and last time visiting The Village Cafe. Arrived for a light lunch with my cousin. We dined in and sat a combined table that seated six, as there were no additional tables open. Staff was not overly friendly, food good, we had the special, decor nice. We were the only non- caucasian customers in the restaurant at the time, we are black females. While chatting and eating, we were approached by a staff member requesting the table that adjoined ours. He stated that he wanted to move it to the other side of the room to accommodate at a party of 7. It should be noted that they were white customers. He then asks us to leave if we are done so they can be seated. We decided not to mirror the great Rosa Parks and not give up our seats in order to avoid making a scene. We were both fuming!!! Black patrons don't get too comfortable with your seats at The Village. They may ask you to move or leave.
