We have been looking for a place like this since we’ve moved here. I think we found it today. It is a very nice cozy and pretty café. They have many choices to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. We had bagels sandwiches and coffee and tea. It was just a peaceful And pretty place inside with lots very pretty paintings. Happy we found our new place to go!
I dint live in Aiken, but several years ago i stumbled into this cafe while doing some work in Woodside with an estate sale company. Fell in love with Village Cafe, but only ever got to try breakfast, which was always amazing. Well, i was excited to see that my neurologist was in this plaza. I stopped in for lunch, and let me just say, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich that was on special was soooo amazing. I have been struggling with my appetite lately, and i ate every bite of this sandwich. It was amazing, and the staff was super nice also. I hands down. 10/10, recommend stopping at this place. I wish i wasnt an hour away!

Hands down one of my favorite places to stop by for a coffee before work. Always a consistent latte, great management, and gorgeous venue.

This hidden secret is amazing! Great food and great service!
Went here this morning. Ordered a cheese omelet. I got an egg pancake with bits of cheese cooked in it and folded in half. Worst breakfast I have ever eaten in my life
Let’s start by saying I had no idea…we found this place on TikTok. This place is hidden in an elder community in Aiken. Upon entering we saw that we were the only African Americans customers in the cafe. That doesn’t bother me it’s not the first time. The cashier literally said “y’all must be visiting” I mean ok, it is what it is no one bothered us, we ate, took pictures and left. If the customers said anything it wasn’t to us or they waited until we were gone.
Relaxed hometown cafe - frirnds gather and relax - the food and coffee are scrumptious!
Confusing taking of orders at front counter if you don’t know what’s offered ( I.e. ‘ not a regular’). Bit of a wait for server to deliver sandwiches and soups to our table. BLT was very delicious. Food is attractive. Loved the art on the walls. I think this place over capitalizes on its location.

Sub par experience at lunch. Beef stew good. Corned beef sandwich so so. Thin portion of meat, no Swiss cheese, coleslaw, hardly any thousand island dressing, bread not fresh. Asked for extra thousand island , was told 30 cents , I declined. At $19, way overpriced.
A waste of a good location.
Needs a more engaging approach with customers
Love eating here for Sunday Brunch. It’s a great place for a down home breakfast. Need to get over for some lunch!
After early voting, my wife and I decided to eat late lunch at The Village Cafe. The restaurant vibe was not what I would describe as Aiken-friendly. The staff and especially the man at the counter were totally indifferent to their customers/guests. Service was slow, uncoordinated and unacceptable since the cafe was not that busy. We ordered tortilla soup and a Cuban Panini. The soup did not resemble any tortilla soup I’ve ever eaten, it was more like watered down chili. No tortillas were harmed making said soup. The sandwich was reheated one too many times as the bread was totally dried out and toast-like. Really unacceptable for a upscale restaurant. Not much, if anything about this experience will draw us back. Note to staff, management and owner: Your existence hinges on your treatment and service to the customer. Try falling over backward, to make sure your customers are happy, only then will you be truly successful. (Think Chic-Filet) Anything less—find another vocation.
I took a friend there for Sunday brunch/lunch. I ordered the eggs benedict and a cappuccino. The coffee arrived luke warm and the eggs benedict came on an untoasted English muffin. The eggs were also luke warm and the muffin was inedible ….I have never eaten an untoasted English muffin..it tasted awful. It also states on the menu the muffin would be toasted. I sent it back and was refunded. My friend also ordered a cappuccino that arrived barely warm and the quiche. The quiche was not hot and the the so called biscuits that came with it were two small round lumps that looked nothing like a true biscuit. I was so disappointed. I was hoping to find a decent place to have lunch occasionally. Don’t waste your time or money.
