They were out of pepper jelly for pimiento cheese app. They don’t have raspberry vinaigrette for my salad bc it hadn’t been made yet, but I was told that they had sourdough crackers instead. Server tried to cover for MAJOR deficiencies in the kitchen, bless her. We left after getting drinks bc the food was disappointing before we even ordered it. So sad.

I really wanted to love this place! Let’s start with what I loved… the cocktails are great and the server we have had both times has been very attentive. The desserts were also very good.
Unfortunately the food is a bit inconsistent and hit or miss. A few dishes lived up to the name and were way too salty (fried green tomatoes). We also had a salad that was mostly greens and a few toppings, plus an overly sweet dressing that tasted more like icing.
The atmosphere inside is pretty nice, but the way they cover the windows deters people. We sat outside and saw numerous groups consider going in and keep going. I think they could do more to attract new guests.
It feels like they are close to getting it all right but missing it on some critical areas that could easily be improved.

The wait staff are truly nice, and efficient! The food is very good. I've always said, if the food is great but the service is terrible, I'm not going back, and if the food is pretty good but the service is wonderful, I WILL go back. This restaurant has both. My only negative is that I was there one afternoon and the manager (or maybe it was one of the owners, not sure) was sitting at the end of the bar conducting meetings with staff and vendors. Very distracting from the dining experience and unprofessional. Get an office. ;-) But I must say, in Aiken it's a go-to for me. Enjoy . You won't be disappointed.

I honestly hate giving this place 3 stars. The food and drinks are fantastic, and this would have easily been a 5 star review. The problem was when I got my bill. For medical reasons, I am currently unable to drink alcohol so I enjoy getting mocktails. I asked about mocktails, and I was told that most of the cocktails on the menu could be made virgin. I ordered one, and it was delicious. It was in a short glass so I ended up ordering a second one because I enjoyed it so much. In my experience, mocktails are usually 60%-70% off the cocktail price if the place doesn’t have a set mocktail menu so that was what I was expecting. When I got my bill, I was charged for 2 at the full cocktail price. I of course assumed it was an accidental error so I asked my server. She told me that her manager told her she has to charge the full cocktail amount for mocktails. This is ludicrous. Alcohol is already ridiculously overpriced in restaurants, and in this case I didn’t have any alcohol. It was juice and sprite, essentially a fancy Shirley temple. After fussing, they did take off $4 each, but I would have never ordered 2-$10 mocktails that were not even in a tall glass if I had known. This is just dirty business practices. My server could have also warned me since she already knew this was the restaurant’s policy.

If you are in Aiken this is a must visit! The food and drinks are delicious. The service was stellar and the outdoor dining was very clean and welcoming. Don't cheat yourself and stop by for brunch sometime when visiting downtown Aiken. It is truly a beautiful area.
Parking: Park in any of the numerous spots throughout beautiful downtown Aiken. Take in the sights as you leisurely stroll to one of the many great dining establishments nearby.
My friend and I wandered in at 8PM on a Saturday and the whole experience was truly amazing. The atmosphere was perfect—the lighting was great, the music was lovely and quiet, and the TV was playing planet earth. We both had the goat cheese flatbread, it was made with obviously personally selected ingredients that all complimented each other. Our bartender, Halsey (sp?) was kind and had a real talent for mixology. I had the strawberry jalapeño drink and the couple next to us had old fashioneds that they loved.
Don’t overlook this gem downtown, I’m so glad we wandered in!
