This was my first time eating dinner at the Willcox and it did not disappoint. I've been visiting Aiken for years, always visiting the Willlcox for a cocktail or a lite bite. This time I chose to have a sit down dinner in the restaurant. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and you can tell fresh ingredients are used. The wedge salad was delicious as was the ribeye and the Brussel sprouts. I highly recommend coming to this not-so-hidden gem. I look forward to my next visit to Aiken and enjoying another meal at the Willcox.

We celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary. I had mentioned it on the reservation. . Our server, Caitlin, arrived with complimentary champagne. We don't usually drink champagne because it's too sweet for our palate but this was good. We love the Willcox's ambience. We appreciated Caitlin not greeting us as “you guys “ which happens nowadays in even good restaurants. She was gracious, efficient , and our dinner wasn't rushed. I had the fillet cooked perfectly as med rare plus. My husband had perfectly cooked sea bass and sautéed spinach. All was excellent. It was a special evening for us and kudos to all involved.

We went to Willcox restaurant for our anniversary. We normally pick a different restaurant every year, but last year at the Willcox restaurant was so good we went again this year too. The crabcakes are the best in SC. Everything we ordered was great and the service was excellent.

Awesome! Food is exceptional and service outstanding!

We loved the new decor. It is still elegantly to period with an equestrian theme. The staff is happy and attentive. The vegetarian options are limited, but beautifully presented.

Honest review:

Food was good, but the service is what really stood out. Especially because I came in just traveling thru, and looked like a bum.

We came in for brunch, but I’d love to try lunch or dinner one day here.

This is a great spot for date night. This location has a fancy feel to it, but also down to earth. It’s hard to describe.

Parking is a bit tricky, but we are ok with a walk.

Everything was perfect. This may have been the finest meal I've had in my entire life. It wasn't pretentious, it wasn't overpriced, they just did absolutely everything right.

Best Caesar salad I have ever had. I had salmon as entree and it was moist and perfectly grilled. My other companions also raved about their selections. Noise level was quite a bit higher than normal but most of noise was coming from a large table with a party of 9 women.

I really wanted to like this place. We have a Lake house here in Aiken and visit periodically. This occasion was for my husbands birthday. We played a few rounds of golf and then grabbed dinner ant the Willcox afterwards. The ambience is nice, but we were squished at a two seated table, with another table right next to us. We had no privacy, or intimacy. We could hear their conversation the entire time. It did not feel romantic whatsoever. The service was okay, it took a while to initially track our server down. The wine selection was nice. However the food was awful. The steak was overcooked and tasted like cilantro. It was very overpowering. I would come back to drink here and ask for a different table. I most certainly would not dine here again, especially for a special occasion.
