We used to really enjoy this area until now... The food was quite terrible... We ordered horchata water, which was just sugar and water with no taste. The food made me throw up and irritated my stomach...

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. My boyfriend took me hear for the 1st time last week. He doesn't really like tacos like that but he tried them one day after getting his hair cut, and he loved them. He said baby I gotta take you there "OMG these tacos were fatabulous"!! That's a saying he and I used when something is real good because we fat ?. I ordered a chicken and a beef taco and a beef gordita. When I took the 1st bite OMG!!! They were awesome and with the fresh pico and salsa. They have the best tacos I ever had hands down. And they are so friendly, and I love great customer service. You have gotten 2 new customers and we will be spreading the word.

Super good hole in the wall Mexican food. While their English isn't great, the menu is very helpful and it is easy enough to order. I used Spanish for most of my order. Do not let that intimidate you. You order at the window in the back and pay at the front counter. This is also a Mexican grocery store with some good deals on many things, such as big packs of tortillas, white cheese, and various types of Beans. You can also get real Mexican Soft Drinks, such as Coke with cane sugar. Prices are very reasonable. It is the best authentic Mexican food I have Found in Aiken. It is by far worth the drive for me. Last time I went, I got from the restaurant: 2 pork tamales, two pork tacos, and a cheese Quesadilla. All were absolutely excellent. The little side bar has a variety of sauces you can put in small containers. The two I got were quite hot spice wise and good. They also have sliced radishes and roasted whole jalapeños. People drive from all over the area to get food here. It is excellent at a very reasonable price. You can eat in if you want, they have a few tables. Lots of Mexicans go here, that is always a great sign. I highly recommend. There are a lot of various meat choices, including tongue. And I love tongue.

Delicious ice cream. I purchased the banana and hazelnut bar and it tasted like banana pudding. So good! Great price of $2 with no tax. Friendly service.

I drove up into a post apocalyptic parking lot and all I saw was one very old brick building that may be as much, layers of paint as it is brick. It's survived this long, so it may be a defensible position if the previously mention apocalypse is a zombie apocalypse. Just a thought. The building is split into two businesses, a barber shop and a Mexican Tienda. Take the door on the right. In my mind, I'm singing, "to the right, to the right." Push the heavy zombie proof door open and take in the Latino goods. There are two isles of interesting ingredients and snacks. It may be one of the most visually stimulating things you do today. Be sure to greet the friendly workers/owners. They are actually hospitality masters disguised as humble immigrants. Then, transport yourself magically to taco paradise by following the yellow brick road, scratch that...I mean the glass lined and Mexican drink filled fridges. There are seven four-tops and a salsa cart. Boys and girls, that salsa cart rivals any in the known universe of Aiken. Try them all, but I have found that all humans are allegedly genetically programed to like the avocado salsa (the light green one). Others are more spicy or more smoky. All good. Standing at the salsa cart puts you next to the order window, or magical portal to a food paradise...tomAto/tomato...same thing.?There are tacos, gorditas, quesadillas, tortas, burritos, and on occasion, tamales. there are meat options for the first five meat vessels listed.Pollo (lean grilled chicken)Asada (lean grilled beef)al Pastor (flavorfully marinated pork)Carnitas (wonderful pork flavored pulled pork...yes you read that right, it is pork infused with more pork flavor, mind blown, am I right!?)Chorizo (Ground Mexican sausage with Maximum flavor with a capital M)Buche (pork stomach, silky and flavorful)Cachete (Beef Cheek, very much like roast beef)This is why you came folks:Tacos - Don't mess around. Get the hand made corn tortillas. Squeeze the glistening lime juice over it. Apply salsa of choice and make sure your first bite has all the ingredients. Tortilla, Meat, onion, cilantro, lime, salsa...You. Are. Welcome.Gorditas - Taco's hot cousin. a thick flat of corn masa cooked and split like a pita. filled with a meat of choice, lettuce, tomato, onion, crema, and cotija or another crumbly cheese. Cool and creamy where taco is bold and glistening with tangy lime.Quesadillas - Not complicated. Meat, cheese, and oversized flour tortilla. Boom!Torta - a sandwich made with taco inspired ingredients. Think next level sandwich. Yep, that's the torta.Burrito - The king of all other burrito's in a 20 mile radius. It has size, flavor, quality, and they cut it in two, so when you finish one side you are graced with another! Seriously (or not), I do believe other burritos must bow in its presence. Burrito royalty.Once you have the left the Matrix and had real Mexican food in Aiken, you can share the "secret" with your friends and family and become the hero that you have always wanted to be. Slow clap.?In conclusion, what better way to wait out the apocalypse that with the best Mexican food al-la-carte in Aiken?Buen provecho!

This is the best kept secret in Aiken South Carolina. If you want some delicious authentic Mexican food from a local family restaurant this is the spot for you. Would give a better rating if I could.
