A Hidden Gem Down a Dirt Road

stars

I've been to my fair share of greasy spoons, but none have compared to this hometown gem. Located down a dirt road, you'd expect a rough-around-the-edges kind of place, but what you get is so much more. As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted with warm smiles that set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.

The kitchen is run by generations of family members, each one bringing their own love and dedication to every meal. The original cook is a master of her craft, pouring her heart and soul into every dish that comes out of the kitchen. Watching her move around the kitchen with what appears to be her great-grandchildren is a beautiful sight - it's clear that values are being passed down through the generations.

What sets this place apart is the palpable sense of love and passion that goes into every meal. You can feel it in the atmosphere, and it's reflected in the food, which is cooked to perfection every time. This isn't just a meal - it's an experience that leaves you feeling full and grateful.

I've written many reviews, but this one is my favorite thus far. If you're looking for a truly special dining experience, look no further. This hidden gem is worth driving down that dirt road for.

My wife and her horse have been spending Jan, Feb, and March in Aiken for past ten years. This year I came along. She had been singing the praises of the Track Kitchen. The food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance relaxed. Strangers became friends as we sll shared two passions, horses and grits.

100% local character!!!! Greasy Spoon at its finest. Only one person working , she told me she’s been cooking there since 1978!!?
This place sits right next to the race track and serves a good cooked yo order breakfast.
Fun place to go. The walls are covered with vintage photos, news stories and plaques.
LOVE the homey feel-when we were told to step behind the counter to “take a cup and get your coffee”.

This place was just bad, first time going, building is run down and dirty, paint peeling off the walls and ceiling and not like a little bit the entire place. Ordered French toast, home fries, wife ordered pancakes and bacon. After a long wait the young lady dropped our food of and said sorry it took so long I had to run to the store for eggs. Well I think they forgot they went for eggs because my French toast was basically burnt toast on a small plate and my home fries were like boiled cubed potatoes with no flavor, my wife said her pancakes were not bad but not great. First time and last time for us at this place.
