Drove here for coffee, took me to the back of some building. Drove around through couple roads just to get to the front of the building. Everything was clis3d. Even though online it said they are open til 11pm. Definitely won't waste my time driving here again.

This place gave me a drink with a hair in it. They don't wear gloves or hair net AT ALL. Put them out of business. I showed her the hair and she STATED, "What do you want me to do about it" with a very rude tone. Watch out this is the lady with red and brown hair she is very rude. She left me in shock when she had said that. Please don't go here. I was very shocked and upset about this. I cried please take them out of business.

I have been here several times and enjoyed every visit. However, a family member of mine comes by weekly and continues to rave about how wonderful the owner is and how supportive of the local community she is. There are multiple groups that use the space, local artisans can display their wares, and the menu changes seasonally. If you are in the area, swing by to enjoy the space... and check out the library!

Came across Books and Beans by accident and glad we did. Enjoyed the sandwiches, the atmosphere, and the book we bought. Look forward to our next visit.

Book And Bean Cafe is a good place for books and coffee as well as food. It has an interesting location being in a library. Lots of literature themed items on the menu. Convenient if you're dropping off books. The prices are pretty good as well. It was hard to find the first time I came here. Originally had no idea this is in a library. The name then made lots of sense. It means dropping off books can be done at the same time as getting breakfast. This is in the Black Road branch of the Joliet Public Library. A lot of items are named for literary figures. They have a good pumpkin spiced latte. It's $3.22 for a small cup. They have some non dairy milk choices like almond and oat. Lots of sandwiches named after important figures. They have one called the Shakespeare. It's $6.44 and has a lot. This has hummus or mozzarella along with avocado, balsamic, cucumbers, olives, romaine, spinach, and tomatoes. It comes with a side of chips. The prices are good for these combo meals. Good place not only for bookworms. It really makes me want to go check some books out. Then I can check this out and do some reading and working.
