It was a cute place we just happened to be parked in front of. But the service and the food wasn't great. Our waiter barely came to the table, I ordered an enchilada and the beef was very gritty and grainy, no flavor at all. My sister ordered the taco salad and it was more shell than the actual taco salad. There was something in our queso as well. We will not be returning.

Austin was amazing great place for food and drinks

I’m am absolutely heated with this place I drove out of my way because they had fresh ceviche on the menu and what I saw when I got how was an appalling container of guacamole with cooked shrimp in it. Never again will they see another quarter from me. I’m not even Mexican and make better ceviche. I know next time to just make it myself. Word to the wise don’t order their ceviche you will be madly disappointed.

The food was not good. I don't usually leave food behind. If I can't finish, i take it home. I left half my food behind. The waitress never checked on us. It was all around a bad experience.

Yo the food was so on point every bite was a treasure!!! Best quesadilla out of Anderson our server Nancy definitely hooked it up and was super nice and checked up on us plenty!!

Today my partner and I decided to stop in for a quick lunch treat before heading to Belk for a work shirt.
Wow.....pleasantly surprised!
The complimentary salsa verde(with salsa roja and queso!!! THREE SAUCES!)would be enough of a reason to go back.
I ordered lunch special #10(pollo fundido) and my parner ordered the beef Burrito lunch special + 2 cheese quesadilla. The portions were PERFECT for lunch. Sometimes it's just too much of the sides or double the pollo/size, it was just right. The rice was also very flavorful.....you can taste seasoning and it's fragrant at the table.
We also ordered a couple tecates and a small house margarita--honestly thought about getting a medium.....maybe another time lol the small was what is often a medium or large other places. The small house margarita was delicious. Tastes like the mix is made in house! Very fresh.
Also the music was so good and fun. Not sure if it was a dance or pop station, but we both found ourselves really enjoying the music!
We will be back again. And bury me in the salsa verde. 🙌🔥🙏

El Jalapeño was a great first time experience. The food was great. Our waitress was great. She made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were mixed perfectly. And when we got the bill we were very pleased that we only spent half the money we usually spend on date night.

The pork Chile Verde makes you feel like you're on the border enjoying a passed down recipe. Great food and service!

I got the Super Chimichanga and this is what I get at any another Mexican restaurant. Nothing really super about it just typical in my opinion. The service was today’s poor sub-par service (meaning most restaurants fall here). I also hate to say but Mexican restaurants for me are all the same. From town to town, state to state.

Great place to eat at

The huevos con chorizo was not made correctly. I don't know who made the decision to change it but please change it back. It consisted of chorizo sitting atop an omelet. The waitress did not notice my empty glass. This was during a slow lunch period.
