They seem to have put in some sound deadening stuff when they remodeled, but it is still pretty loud in there. Although, better than it was. Food is still very well prepared and served by a professional team.

Went there specifically for the Shrimp lunch. They had added crab cakes to the menu. So I gave them a try. My first impression was blah just by appearance. Then it got worse. They are not good. Really salty, no lump crab and the sauce is the same as the hot lava shrimp. What a shame. Never had a dish here I didn’t like.

Our server was awesome. Greeted us with a smile and always checked on us Great service.
Was absolutely ? fine and then ate here with my wife. We both are now violently ill. I wouldn't wish the sickness on my worst enemy. I'm going through serious pain right now. I highly urge them to check their hamburger meat because with all the recalls it is possible they may have a contaminated batch. This and a rice Krispy treat was all I ate. This is brutal.

I dined in and was friendly scenery clean great service, food was delish.. ppl who don't mind not so quaint ambient will love this place it really is g excellent service ..I would love to go back when am with my peeps

I have been going over to J Peters in Anderson, SC from Lavonia, GA for years to get the best Baby Back Ribs anywhere. However, this past Tuesday I went there and had some of the worst ribs ever. The size was good but they were not tender and not tasty like they were in the past few years. I said something to the waitress about them but got no response. I brought half of them home and cooked them for two hours at 200F but they were still tough and hard to remove from the bone.
Based upon that I am now sure I will have a taste to travel to Anderson, SC for ribs again. Maybe the rib quality was not good or maybe the cook is different, or just not cooked like they were in the past. Maybe you will have better luck than I did.

This is my initial experience with J Peter's and I must say that I am impressed. Comparing it to similar spots that I favor, this place has DEFINITELY been added to my list! Located in Anderson SC, the venue and the menu will bring me back. We had excellent and timely service, attentive staff, really good drink choices (maybe add a nice Riesling? ?), and reasonable prices for the quality received. Next time I will try something fun from the marvelous Martini list. Definitely a keeper for now.
