Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Out of 3 orders 1 was cold, 1 was warm. The broccoli casserole had to much salt service was fast and friendly, plac look clean. Price not bad. Lots of parking.

Fast service even when it is packed. This restaurant has perfected country cooking. I have never had a bad meal here. From their fried chicken salads to their turkey and dressing it is all worth ordering!

My family and I love this place. The food is great. The owner is a bit stingy. We have been eating there since 2007, and one time my wife complained that the food was overcooked he tells her there's nothing wrong with it and he is not replacing it.I bought her something else and just chalked it up to a greedy owner.Other than that this is a great place.

Great place, I keep finding myself going back there every once in a while. Usually, I end up getting takeout since my whole office at work enjoys this place. So we all end up getting something. It most definitely has that cooking that reminds everyone of home. Service is very accommodating and won't have you waiting long. I did recently order the BLT with extra bacon, paid extra for it and had barely any bacon on it. Even less actually than ordering it without extra bacon.

I don’t come to Anderson, SC very often and this was my first time at this restaurant. It was recommended by a staff member in the office I visited. As the lady spoke about the restaurant she said “the food is good. I mean, you might not like it but, I like it.” I decided to give it a try. My server here was really nice and patient. I ordered hamburger steak and gravy with potato salad and mac and cheese. The server couldn’t quite explain what kind of ham they served so I ordered a side of ham. The hamburger and the potato salad were not good. The hamburger was mediocre at best. It was not seasoned. Nor was the potato salad. I sprinkled salt on both. It didn’t help. The mac and cheese (had too many crunchy pieces in it) and the ham were decent, nothing to write home about. I asked my server if she could take the hamburger steak and the potato salad off of the bill and only charge me for what I ate (the ham and the mac and cheese). She asked the manager and came back to tell me the manager took the hamburger steak off but would not take the potato salad off of the bill. It was $1.89. I guess she thought I ate some of it because I stirred the salt in it and it no longer had the shape of the scooper used to plate it. Oh well, I’ll know better the next time I’m in Anderson.

I just got home from Mama Penns. I'm going to fix a sandwich because of the ridiculously small portions they served us.Never going back again. This is the second time they've done us this way.
