Large crowd tonight at Mellow Mushroom, Jena was bartending and waiting tables - she was awesome! Friendly, energetic and basically ran the entire time we were eating. Highly recommend and ask for Jena?

My family and I visited the Anderson, SC Mellow Mushroom on 2/22/20. The staff was very friendly, but my husband ordered a calzone and the vegetables weren't done at all. I told the manager and they happily made him another one but said that that's how they make their calzones. They don't cook the veggies they just throw them in there raw and they warm up a bit with the calzone in the oven. My childrens side of steamed broccoli was also not steamed at all but completely raw. They were friendly about it but I feel they should've deducted something from our tab. I don't know of any other place that doesn't cook the vegetables in a calzone?

Wow. This used to be my favorite pizza place, and now, well, not so much. We went there on a Sunday night and the place was empty. That should have told me something. My husband and I sat at the bar...and met the one thing good about the place, the sweet bartender who did an excellent job at serving just so-so, overpriced pizza. We ordered their House Special large specialty pizza for $25.00+. The pizza came to the bar cold. It was piled with sausage and ground beef, very little pepperoni, no bacon, four pieces of tomato, about 5 strips of green pepper, and no onions. Oh, and there was little or no sauce and the crust perimeter was 2 1/2 inches wide. What the heck. I can get a better pizza for $5.99 delivered to the house. No thanks.

I was hesitant about coming after seeing all the bad reviews, but we haven't been in a couple years so we decided to try it. I'm so surprised about the bad reviews, we got sat immediately and greeted by our waitress immediately. I think her name was Maddi... but she was great. Our food came out fast and correctly and was delicious! We will be back!

What a disappointing meal from a Mellow Mushroom. I was a corporate trainer for this company back in the early 90's and this would not have met the standard. The calzone was almost tasteless from the dough to the pepperoni's. Pepperonis have incredible flavor but not this one. The lil Greek salad was lackluster and the cheese bread was half the size it normally is. It was cute but not the 10-12 inch bread it normally is. I did get charged for the full size though. Overall I think I will odd when traveling to a local pizza restaurant. So disappointed!!

I have been to this location several times and it has been an awful experience every time. The service is so bad it's almost funny. There's usually no one to seat you when you walk in. The servers will frequently forget what you ordered or just forget you are even there. Last time I was wondering if we were invisible. Not to mention it is painfully slow. The only reason I gave it one star is because the food is actually good. But the bad service makes it not worth going. It's a shame. Won't be going back. I recommend going to the Clemson location, its worth the drive.
My husband and I decided to check out Mellow Mushroom in downtown Anderson for a late dinner after enjoying beers at the brewery around the corner. Although it took us a few minutes at the hostess station to get seated, overall we both really enjoyed both our meal and the location. We split the Kosmic Karma pizza (added meatballs) and a Greek salad. The pizza was particularly good - Mellow Mushroom really does have the best crust. Waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Although there were several parties with lots of children the evening we stopped by, noise level inside was manageable. I prefer this location to the one in Clemson.

We went to Mellow tonight in hopes of getting my favorite pizza. The service is always terrible, but I go back anyway for pizza that I'm unable to get anywhere else. When we walk in we wait for several minutes on a hostess(in plain sight of several employees), nobody comes. Finally a waitress walks by and informs us that a hostess will be with us "in a sec" We wait a few more minutes, with nobody still coming to help us, which is really frustrating. So we left to give our hard earned money to a restaurant that acts like they care at all about or experience, or the fact that we're there at all. So unless you have a lot of time on your hands, I don't recommend

Hunter and Bre are the friendliest most beautiful servers and Bre makes the best most perfect drinks and shout out to Erica she's and awesome manager... We will definitely be back the food was awesome!!!!!
