Always a great place for dinner in downtown Anderson. With reasonably priced food and a decent selection of craft beer.

Updated review: Raines has redeemed itself for me over the last few years. Service can still be dreadfully slow at times but the food/quality of service/cost is just about unbeatable in downtown Anderson now.

Placed a toner this evening and got these wings. I ordered lemon pepper. There is a dash of lemon pepper. Mostly plain! I always have loved the service at the restaurant and the food but have never ordered this way. Very disappointing! I called to speak to a manager to give a heads up and didn’t really sound like he cared. My bad I guess for ordering in instead of going out. Learn from my mistake.

So yesterday, February 26, 2025 I went into Rains On Main downtown Anderson to grab some wings cause they are Wings buy one get one free on Wednesdays so I went in and sat down at the bar got unnoticed for about 20 minutes or so after the bartender Todd finally walked up he asked me what would I like to eat? I started off telling him What I would like. Then he hauls off and says I can’t do that long story short I was gonna order the buy one get one wing and whatever I did not eat. I wanted to take it to go. He flat out told me I could not do that and walked off, so I sat there about 20 more minutes and I yelled at him hey you’re not going to take my order he said no I’m not taking your order. I got up and said OK but what it all been said I’m just trying to get in touch with the owner to let him know what a bad experience I had and if anybody know how to get in touch with him, please come here or find me on Facebook I would love to have a talk with him

Ok so listen…. I absolutely love good food, good vibes and good people. It’s definitely a trifecta for me. 2 out of the 3 made the cut on this experience. The atmosphere was great and the people were cool but the food was salty. I’m trying to watch my figure at this age so Stella doesn’t have to get her groove back. You understand?! Ok. We did ask the cook not to season any of the food once the first round of entrees came out. But I don’t think our message was received. Other than that, the waitresses were amazing and attentive. And we had a good time in the private section downstairs.

My first time in Anderson and randomly I selected this place, long story short, bad experience, service not so professional, food nothing special and the Irish Ale "beer" is the worst one I have tried. sorry. it's not so expensive, but they charge you a "facility fee" (waf is that?)

$12.99 for a 8” Philly cheesesteak. I substituted onion rings for my fries so that was an extra $2. So $14.99. I got 7 little Burger King size onion rings and a side of coleslaw. Turns out a side of coleslaw is a little 1/4 cup of slaw in a condiment cup. Can’t say I’ll be back. Blame it on whatever you want. Prices are getting higher while the portions and quality are getting smaller. Server was great and I gave you five stars there. But, come on. The slaw was great! Should have asked for it on a hot dog and saved half my money.
