Very average. I had shrimp and grits but it wasn’t the shrimp and grits you are thing of . It was literary grits with shrimp on top , no seasoning , shrimp overdone . Not what I was looking for ! Hush puppies were awful. I was excited then disappointed . The other plates were the small hook platter He said the shrimp was good , crab shell just bread no crab . Next plate salmon , delish they said , noodles underneath not so much . No one liked hush puppies

Staff seems ungrateful for the patronage dark atmosphere with bad smell to go along should have turned around and walked out but didn't portions were small very small portion of slaw had to be bought to go on the fish plate an additional cost of 60 cent around 2 tablespoon of slaw served in a tartar sauce container not at all a very good experience will avoid this place

When arrived person on phone ignored us approximately 10 minutes. Three other servers walked by and didn't acknowledge we were standing there. The food was bland. The fish tasted like prepackaged fried food. The fish was rubbery , the baked sweet potatoes were overcooked.
The restaurant looked dingy inside.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great only issue for me was the small container of coleslaw because I love good coleslaw 😁 The waitress was friendly and we enjoyed a good laugh about my drink in the bucket. We will be back.

The food was alright, but rather pricey for the portions that were given. In a pinch, I may go back, but I would not make the Hook restaurant my first choice.

The atmosphere was really nice, and everyone, from the staff to the other diners, was super friendly. The establishment was clean and had plenty of space. Our waiter was great,he was quick and always checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. I decided to try the fried shrimp and clam strips. The clam strips weren’t really my favorite; they were a bit greasy and had too much seasoning for my taste. The shrimp was decent, but were over seasoned. On a positive note, the baked potato was really good! The oysters, though, were fantastic, fresh and juicy. The crab legs were seasoned perfectly and easy to crack open. ( I would go back again) !

Went there for a special occasion and honestly may be the worst experience ever! Food cold, wrong, steak was burnt on one side and raw on other. Waited 45 min to hr to get awful food. Called manager who said she'd call back and didn't. Close the doors of this place and dhec should inspect it! 190 dollars thrown away. Waitress was awful. Do not go there.
