No wonder they are rated number one on Trip Advisor for BBQ in Anderson. It's a coin toss for me to decide between pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. Excellent sides as well. They do a lot for the community and law enforcement, so check them out!
10 out of 10....We had The Pompous Pig cater our son's rehearsal dinner for 65 people. They did a Low Country Boil, with Banana Pudding and Apple Cobbler. The food was served on time and hot, and it was absolutely fabulous. They were very professional, courteous, prompt with responses, and just good people. It was an absolute pleasure working with them, and they took all the stress out of worring about the meal. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a caterer, and would absolutely use them again...
Order and the sit they will bring it to you

I’m Ellen Bowen Bechard. I had a very pleasant experience. I purchased a half side of ribs and banana pudding. Ribs were perfectly cooked and tasty. The pudding was, as always, great. Best place to eat ribs! Definitely recommend.

½lb chopped chicken plate + 2 sides, 1 drink was $23. 1st and last visit. not worth it. chicken was blan, sides were small. we'll stick to smoking pig.
*regarding the owners reply*- your food sucks for the price and the portions are small. if the food tasted better then you could justify the prices, but it dont.
yes, we prefer a place that has flavor for about the same price.
you now get a lower rating for trying to justify high priced flavorless food via your comment.

Ordered 36 pounds of BBQ for a church lunch. Plus 2 sides for a 100 people. They failed to mention a 5% service charge. 46.78. They also charged for credit card which I understand. So your total food is 935.50, plus 17%, 169.05 in taxes? Would have been a lot more palatable not pay $47.68 to put the food I bought in pans! So disappointing, not my favorite BBQ place anymore.

Didn't care for the attitude of the one unfriendly staff member. Pull pork was a bit dry and a bit cold. I will take my business elsewhere.

Their burnt ends are the best that I’ve ever tasted and I look forward to trying their rubs! Stay updated on all that they have to offer by texting “BBQ” to (888) 465-8504!

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Lady at the counter was really nice and helpful. Hubby got 2 meat combo with 2 sides. I got the pulled pork quesadilla with extra pico and a side of sriracha aioli. I really enjoyed my quesadilla, it had good flavor, good filling and was great with the fresh pico de gallo. The brisket was just OK, a bit salty and meat kind of broke apart too much. But he enjoyed the sides and pulled pork. We really liked the vinegar and mustard bbq sauce. Overall it was a pretty good place in Anderson.

Came for lunch with my family and we loved this place. Loved their BBQ it is NEVER fatty. They have a new brunch menu. I tried the gravy biscuits and they are delicious! Ribs are amazing. We sampled the burnt end brisket tacos and they were so good. Definitely getting those next time we are there! You cannot go wrong eating at the Pompous Pig.

1 Star for the food. The chicken and the pork chop was so dry not even sauce helped. The sides were not fresh and the portions were small for the price. $85 down the drain. Would not eat here again and would not recommend it. We were embarrassed that we brought our out of town company here. The service and the employees were extremely nice though.
