We ordered a cake for my daughter’s 16th birthday. It was awful. It had no taste, was chalky, hard as a rock. The writing was crooked. We didn’t even eat it. We threw it away. Talked to someone that claims to be a manager, and he said because we threw it away, there’s nothing that could be done. Even with a video. It was not cheap, because it was considered a “custom”.
I love The Sweetery!! The owner is a dear friend of mine from my childhood! Jane is efficient, kind, sweet & extremely accommodating. I go there for lunch often and purchase their delicious products as often as possible. Jane’s employees exhibit her outstanding traits!
Our family has bought many cakes from The Sweetery for last 5-6 years, and we have bought our last cake which was for my sons 5th birthday because of lack of communication and I would consider poor management/ownership. long story short, told my wife a price for cake and cupcakes was around $88. Paid a $40 deposit to secure. When went to pick cake and cupcakes up, they charged a copywrite fee for a Black Panther Stencil which is available online for free.
