In my 58 years of living in Spartanburg and passing Holmes hundreds, maybe thousands of times, today was the first time I had eaten there. Honestly, my homemade chili is better, but theirs is way better than a lot of places. I like the simplicity of their menu, and sitting there kinda took me back. The nostalgia of sitting in an old timey dinner was kinda nice.

Great find! Had the 2 hot dog plate with fries and coleslaw. Loved the steamed buns and I LOVE crinkle cut fries. The sweet tea was phenomenal, not too sweet, just right. Best thing about this place was the employees. Extremely friendly with a small town, everybody knows you kind of vibe even though I was an out-of-towner. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try the smoked sausage dog! Thank you for an enjoyable lunch.
