Been there many times over the years. Every time I go to Charleston I try to stop there. You can't beat their calamari and green fried tomatoes.

I love all the unique fixtures, and the outdoor set up is actually quite lovely. Food is always amazing, portioned perfectly, served quickly with a smile.

A diamond in the rough! Seafood is fabulous 👌 The fried okra, fried squash, and fried mushrooms are fantastic, too!!!

Tried Seewee for the first time yesterday due to recommendations from others. I was looking forward to dining there for the southern food and fresh seafood. The hush puppies were great. Most things after that were a disappointment. I liked that the seafood was not overly breaded but nothing had a whole lot of flavor. The onion rings were good once salt was added. The sweet potato fries were not fries but big medallion chunks that were still hard and covered in cinnamon. My friend had fried flounder and it was slimy when she bit into it. Yuck! I like supporting locally owned businesses, but I will not be going back here. 40 dollars each after tip and one of us didn’t even have a meal she could eat and the other had an overall tasteless meal.

Horrible experience! The food was tasteless,it's akin to having food with no seasoning being served in a junk yard!!!

Very dirty, food not good at all, high price,
No handicap ramp at front entrance.
Parking has big holes and puddles .
Over worked waitress is expected to do cleaning too. Bathroom is difficult. This place should be closed .
We will never go back to this filthy place.

Honestly we were very disappointed ☹️ we had several recommendations for this place and I was really excited to try it but it did not live up to the expectations. The fried food was very mushy , bland , and flavorless. I expected more from good ole fashion southern food. On top of that we paid $70 which would not have been an issue but the food felt like it was not worth what we paid.

Great place for fresh seafood and veggies. If you like grilled seafood, make sure to get it Seewee style.

Wow! This place is such a gem. The staff is very welcoming, acomadating and helpful. We oredered the crab dip, shrimp seewee style, and fried green tomatoes for appetizer and there was not one bad bite. The fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had, lightly breaded, fresh, and not greasy. For dinners we mostly had the fresh catch and the seewee grill and everything was so fresh and delicious. The grouper was also some of the best I've ever had, seewee style of course! The sweet potatoe casserole is light and not overly sweet, which is hard to find. The green beans and collards were cooked perfectly. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We had an awesome time here. This is authentic low country seafood. We were a little nervous because the week prior there were some terrible reviews but we gave it a shot anyway. Sounds like new kitchen staff a month ago had driven those reviews but they are back up and running strong. Very worth the drive!
