My husband and kids went here for dinner. We stood at the counter waiting to be seated watching some food being prepared. We decided not to eat here when we saw the salad being plated with the workers hands.

I had to share my recent experience at Connie Rae’s. My family and I stopped there on our way back from Georgia. I must admit on first glance I wasn’t 100% sure it would be a place I enjoy however walking in… I couldn’t have been more wrong. We were greeted by Connie Rae her self and had servers that were friendly, respectful and fast. The food was absolutely amazing we had the flounder, hamburger, ribeye and taco salad not one bite of anything was left from any of my family. It is a place we will def be back to when in the area. I highly recommend. Nice to meet you Mrs. Connie. Ps we highly recommend the shrimp cocktail we had that also and it was to die for!!!!

Food was really tasty, fries were crispy and nice. Interior is a bit lacking and unkempt, but staff was nice.

Let's start with the one negative I have for this restaurant. My wife is very sensitive to chemicals, molds and tobacco smoke. We noticed the tobacco smoke very shortly after placing our order. No molds or chemical smells. To be fair it is probably a good thing to have a restaurant with the quality of food where a person can exercise their choice to smoke and still eat. If we had realized this we probably would not have stopped. But we did stop. With that out of the way the food was the best we have eaten in Bamberg. We will go back for take out even though that is a little slow. The service for dining in is much better. Am tempted to stop every time we drive by.

I don't eat out much because a lot of places just don't season their food the way I like it but the seafood platter was outstanding. The customer service was also very good and they are very friendly.I recommend them to anyone and the wife and I will be eating there again.
