Visiting family from out of town and stopped here for breakfast. Great service and great breakfast food. Cute atmosphere and good value for the amount of food.

Changed to 5 stars, because the desserts were amazing...Food was good, not huge selection but good flavors. Service was attentive, prices are good, on site parking. Close to cute town square.

A co-worker and I had traveled from Aiken to Barnwell for a work-related event. We were advised of another restaurant with a similar name to try while in the area but once there, could not recall the name. So, we ventured out and stumbled upon this place. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress was welcoming, nice and informative, as this was our first time here. Our experience quickly went bad when it was time to check-out. The guy, who I assumed was the owner was very rude. My co-worker and I had both wrapped up a half-eaten piece of chicken in a napkin to take with us. However, I was advised that I would be charged an additional fee for carrying out the piece of chicken. I explained, that I did not go back to buffet to get more chicken to wrap-up and carry out but instead, this chicken was already on my plate and partially eaten. The guy proceeded to say, either way, you have to pay extra to take it with you. I agreed to pay the extra fee for carrying out the chicken, then handed it to the guy to throw into the trash because at this point, it's about making a point, and left a very large cash tip for the waitress because she was standing there looking sad about what was transpiring and despite that, her service and attitude was wonderful. Throughout this exchange, he never mentioned or charged my co-worker for her chicken and she walked right out with it. I am hopefully optimistic, and I like to think that we have truly evolved and grown as a people. However, I can't help but think that race played a part in this, as I am black and my co-worker is white. When mentioned, he stated, I was watching you, and I saw you wrap the piece of chicken up. Well sir, you should have seen her too, we were sitting together at the same table. Why were watching me? Never again, will I spend another dollar in Barnwell county. Thank you to other patrons, who spoke in agreement that this was wrong and could have been handled better. A special thank you Country Cafe, for reminding me that in some parts, we have not evolved much at all.

Cute quiet breakfast. We just did the $10 one plate meal. It was more than enough. I think it would be nice if there was a little light music in the background.

We loved there breakfast buffet. The bacon was thick and crispy. It's a steal at 10 bucks a plate!
Kid-friendliness: My son is autistic and they where very nice about accommodating him. He didn't eat but he wanted a plate with something on it so he didn't feel left out. Wish other places are like them.

I find myself torn. My two experiences at this establishment seemed well. However, I found myself banned from a local fb group when I tried to post a market friendly photo of an inspirational note given to me by one of the employees. Nothing against the group’s rules. It feels like a kick in the gut. Needless to say I won’t be returning. To this establishment or any small business in the barnwell area.

Very good. I knew when I tasted the grits, everything was going to be good. Full of flavor and seasoned just right. The crab quiche was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. Definately worth coming back too.

Wonderful atmosphere, great breakfast buffet, and very pleasant staff! Will be going back!
I enjoy a caramel iced coffee each time I stop in. I've also had their yogurt parfaits and breakfast buffet on occasion!
Rustic, farmhouse feel. I ordered lunch which was a warm buffet style. I filled my plate myself and paid by weight.I had homemade meatballs in a onion gravy (they were good, definitely homemade), corn bake (a bit sweet- added salt to offset flavors), asparagus (fresh & seasoned well), yummy Mac n cheese w/spinach (not boxed or cheap cheese sauce), and squash medley.Everything was definitely fresh, home cooked and I will be back the next time I come back to the animal shelter thrift shop. Cute little town!
