BUT THE FOOD IS COOKED TO ORDER AND ITS NOT CONSIDERED A FAST FOOD RESTURANT, I HAVE BEEN BACK 2 MORE TIMES AND TOOK FRIENDS, WE WERE WELCOMED AND HAVE NO COMPLAINTS, THE WORKERS THERE WERE HAPPY TO ASSIST US AND WERE CLEANING WHEN THEY WERENT HELPING CUSTOMERS, JAYME AND MANDI WERE GREAT HOST.

Came back to change my review. We gave it another shot and were pleased. They made sure we had everything correct and were so friendly!Please note the French fries have a special seasoning with cinnamon and brown sugar and I was not a fan but that is not the fault of the restaurant. When I called to ask about it they offered to bring me replacement fries. I wasn’t complaining just was so curious about the seasoning. I will eat here again. Also, prices are super reasonable. Fed my family of 5 for right over $30!

This new place in Batesburg-Leesville is awesome! It's on the corner, so look for it! The portion sizes were great, the price very affordable, and the staff were the friendliest I've come across in a long time! An overall great experience!
Food has gone downhill since its opened. I used to love these fried cheese curds they had, but they switched to flavorless friend mozzarella sticks. They are pretty slow up there, but they just be understaffed. Their employees are super nice and

I took my mother to Hankerin on a Sunday afternoon and was sorely disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately experienced an allergic reaction to the overwhelming stench of Fabuloso cleaner. Restaurants, especially seafood restaurants, should not smell like roadside public restrooms. In a hurry, we decided to order takeout and hoped the stench was a fluke. It was not. I ordered the shrimp basket with fried okra and coleslaw. My mother ordered the chicken po'boy. Both meals were inedible (even the dogs didn't want it). The shrimp were fried to oblivion. They were chewy and flavorless, except for the taste of old cooking oil and freezer burn. The okra was soggy and cold, and the coleslaw was hot, wilted, and completely flavorless. The chicken tasted old, like it had been sitting around for a while. The fries tasted as if they had been taken from the freezer and fried half-way. They were cold and grainy. We waited 15 minutes for this obviously not-fresh fare, while employees made a show of riding a mini bicycle around the parking lot, oblivious to the patrons inside. I will not ever eat at this restaurant again, and strongly urge others to stay away.

The service here is always very slow, usually even if you are the only one in the drive-through you have to wait at least 10 minutes for your simple order. Also, they are out of cocktail sauce and other condiments all the time. Yesterday we went through the drive-through, sat at the ordering sign for several minutes with no response, then went to the window and no one ever came to the window, finally we were about to pull away and saw the employee sitting outside the building just hanging out. These instances are common here. While the fish was good and tasted freshly cooked, the sides were not. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was out of a box. Very bland.

The food was delicious especially the chicken gizzards The shrimp and grits had fried shrimp in it I wish it had baked or grilled shrimp in it instead but it didn't and the fish was good as
The food was okay but it has to be the grossest place I've been to in a long time. The door handles, salt shakers, windows were covered in grime. The bathroom sink was covered in hair. Had to ask for a new cup because of hair on it. Cigarette butts were all over the patio (we ended up going outside because it was so uncomfortable). The only reason we stayed is because we had already ordered and my elderly father has a hard time getting in and out of the car as it is. Some of the food was good, some of it was bad. It took a very long time to get it even though we were the only ones in there. I don't know why it was that way considering the other reviews but it was really really dirty.

Me and my husband has fry fish, mashed potatoes, bake beans and hush puppies. The fish wasn’t done, the mashed potatoes was like water and the bake beans tasted like they can right out the can. This is the worst restaurant I even been to. We will not be going back. I read the reviews and one person said that it was a hit or miss. Well we miss. Wasted money.

They served me boxed mac and cheese!!! Fish was ok but larger pieces should have been cooked longer, hushpuppies were good and chips were so hard I couldnt eat most of them.I was disappointed.
