I had fried flounder with collard greens, lima beans and brussell sprouts. All was excellent. The flounder was the best I've ever had and not at all greasy. The service was great as well. It was worth the drive from Aiken.

Food was hot and fresh and just as I ordered it. The hot honey chicken sandwich and onion rings were pretty amazing! We had a super nice waitress. Fair prices and a quiet atmosphere! Will sure go again.

Deviled eggs were inedible. Burger was dry. Not a place I'll dine at again. The server was nice, but for the prices. I can get better food elsewhere.

I had the blackened catfish BLT with a side of fried okra. My only critique of the BLT is that I wanted more! The pickled okra that came on top was wonderful. The fried okra was fine. I left content.

We feel lucky to have a Root Cellar location in Batesburg. Got the Deviled Eggs as appetizer. Nice and tangy covered in bacon bits. Other appetizer faves are the Seared Ahi Tuna and Southern Egg Rolls. I'm still trying different menu items and this night I chose the Grilled Salmon and husband got the Filet Mignon. Both cooked to order. The Federalist Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Savignon was fabulous and very reasonably priced. While we were too full for dessert at the restaurant, we could not leave without getting the Banana Pudding WITH POUND CAKE CRUMBLES to go!! Oh my!! Talk about good. First time trying it. Mmm-mmm! Lots of free street parking. Will try to keep my wits about me and get photos next visit.

Second visit and my last. $13.00 for 2 drinks tea/ Pepsi and onion rings. To wait 45 minutes to tell us they lost our order and to reorder. To find out the chicken salad sandwich I ordered they were out of? They're typically more expensive than local restaurants but typically worth it. Sorry but I'll be going elsewhere. Good luck.
