My family always went to WIZS as a Friday night ritual. It was Great ! However , we went back after the reopen and it was awful. The food was awful, the service very slow,(could not get a drink refill without getting up from the table and asking), and the staff were extremely rude. We will not go back,. Not the same WIZS. Heading to Shealys.

Room temp meatball sub and fries sent back twice. Only one bite was taken from each and tried to charge us for it. All the manager said was, "I heard you don't want to take this home."

3 stars for service because the woman seating people took people BEFORE AND AFTER us. We did request a booth, but again, parties with the same amount of people (2) were sat BEFORE us that came in AFTER us got sat in a booth. Our waitress was on top of everything,no complaints there. The food was fantastic, fresh and hot. Definitely won't be back because of how the seating made us feel.

My husband and I had heard good things about wiz. We were so disappointed! Appetizer was good and a healthy portion. My husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered the center cut sirloin. My husbands prime rib came to the table a full 5 minutes before my sirloin. We are a family that does not start eating until everyone gets there meal. When I got my steak it was in a dish full of juice as well as the plate underneath. I tried to cut it but was unable to. I finally asked my husband to cut it for me. We had to drain all the juice so it wouldn't get all over us when he tried to cut it. Obviously it was tough to eat. Needless to say my server offered to order something else but she said it was how it was cut and they had no guarantee the next one would be better. It was too late. My husband had already had his food for way to long. They charged me for the salad and baked potatoe I ate. At no time did a member of management approached us to apologize, even though the server told the problem was the way the meat was cut. What a shame. We live local and were excited to find a restaurant close to us. We will not be back.

Great place to eat if you want to share a plate with somebody. The amount of food that served is enormous so you always walk out with leftovers. But that's wiz's way! It's a great place to dine there's lots of choices lots of stuff to drink. The salad bar is excellent.

I gave 2 stars because when I got home my order was wrong. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger plate. I got a double bacon cheeseburger. Also, the fries were not fresh and I had a chip mixed in with them. For $16.90 I expected my food to be correct and fresh fries. The burger was good, but I didn't finish it because it was too big.

Ribeye did not have no favor. No spices of any kind. Horrible and not worth the price.

I dined at Wiz’s with 2 friends last night. Firstly it was a bit of a shock to order a Corona with lime and get a canned beer and a brandy snifter. Other than that the service was excellent. Heads up: the Batesburger with a couple toppings had no chance of being eaten like a burger. A heck of a value but HUGE and you’d need the overbite of a wolf to eat it like a burger. The lettuce and tomato were on the bottom and cooked from the heat of the rest of the components before our diner even realized they were there. Our other diner thought the wings she ordered - exclusively flats and sauces on the side- they were excellent. As for the Reuben. A load of tastelessness. It was gorgeous with a ton of meat but the reality was that the Swiss cheese was the only thing that was flavorful in it. Even the sauerkraut seemed to have been steeped in a tang busting sugar solution ! As old timers from the old Wiz’s and their former blooming onion appetizers, we respectfully request they go back to that rather than the petals they now serve. We will still go back to eat there but we will be asking far more questions than we did before and perhaps not as often as we could.

Not the restaurant for those with a discerning palate. On the other hand, the atmosphere was good and so was the service. With the exception of the wing chips on two of our plates there was nothing wrong with the food other than we just did not like it because it was not executed well; however, the wing chips were soggy and not crisp or salted for that matter.Judging from the food that the three of us ordered, the menu and cooking style is geared more for people who like large portions, too much seasoning, lots of grease and lots of sauces. There was not enough emphasis on the quality or taste of the food. After the waitress revealed that the beer battered cod comes out of a bag, I ordered a French Dip and chips. When it came out it was saturated in cheese sauce (I don't think it was real cheese) and the bread was soggy from the meat drippings. The chips were soggy and not crispy. I ate a few bites and was finished. The hostess came by and asked if I was done and I said yes and before I could say why she took my plate. With my food minimally touched, I would have expected further inquiry or even an offer of a to-go box at which time I would have stated my reasons for not wanting a to-go box.My wife ordered smothered chicken. The biggest complaint she had (I tried some too) is that it was too over seasoned. It was over seasoned with something and was too salty to eat and the side of vegetables had too much grease. She ate about a third of it and the waitress did ask if she wanted a to-go box.The other person ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. She said the sandwich was over seasoned and again the chips were soggy. The waitress did not inquire as to whether or not we liked our meal and brought our check and I paid. The hostess came by at which time I brought up that we did not like our meal and we did not plan on coming back nor was I trying to get a free meal since I had already paid. After I said that, she was not interested in hearing what I had but I managed to tell her a little about my meal, but not the others before she walked away.
