I am allergic to onions, but they we wouldn't sell me the Italian sandwich without them. "No changes to the sandwiches" the lady at the register rather smugly advised. It wasn't like I asked them to remake the chicken and leek soup without the leeks. Rather than make a little extra money by leaving off an item, they preferred to lose a customer for good.....I smiled I left, remembering a particular episode of Seinfeld. I handed over my hard earned $ to a business down the street who was willing to hold the onions. 👍

Great lunch. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had anywhere, absolutely delicious. The bread was very nice, it was the perfect amount of meat, lettuce, onion, etc… with a really tasty dressing. Fast, friendly service. I had a really nice white Pinot noir while I was waiting on my order, and the rest of the wine/drink selection looked really thoughtful and a perfect compliment to what they’re serving. It’s a reasonably priced menu as well, maybe a couple extra dollars for a sandwich compared to other local restaurants, but the quality makes it more than worth it. I look forward to coming back! Thanks y’all!

If you want the best pizza in Beaufort look no further. We stopped by and had a choice of seating in either the hip store to the left or more traditional place to the right. Same great food. We chose the left and had spectacular service from Sean. A great local resource he went out of his way with service you only find in expensive venues. The pizza is true brick oven and the ingredients were fresh. They have a sofa sitting area near the fireplace that caps your evening. We had bourbons. Perfect evening.

I have had the pleasure of dining here a few times along with friends and family and what an incredible experience that was, but I’m not here to talk about that. It’s the pb&j sandwiches for me. They taste like a Saturday afternoon when you were a kid and your mom made you come inside from playing to eat lunch. Complete with the drip of jelly stain on your shirt that no matter how hard you tried, it was inevitable. Perfection.

We went based on 4.9 Google reviews and we're not disappointed. Atmosphere was warm, staff cordial and the food the best I've had in years! Hope tourists and locals will follow the reviews and keep them going, as they're primary a lunch venue with special events.

Best lunch in the Low Country! My husband and I have been wanting to try BLACKSHEEP for so long - it was totally worth the wait! The space is totally inviting and we felt like we were on vacation. The menu items are unique, thoughtful and delicious. The Chef & owners are super creative. We can’t wait to go back!

First visit since Blacksheep on Boundary rebranded as Blacksheep X Sabbatical, and their new focus on providing casual, elegant, deliciously simple menus for lunch only. With NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED - something many regular patrons are wildly pleased with.

The food quality and passionate service is exactly the same. Matt crushes it in the kitchen and with the intricate-yet-easy-to-understand menu, while Krista runs the front of house and exquisite wine offerings.

This was the best sandwich lunch I’ve ever had.

Don’t forget to stop in - often.

Much love to this culinary treasure!

Love the revamp of Black Sheep! It's such a cute spot with plenty of parking behind the building on Boundary Street. It's the perfect place to grab a quality lunch to enjoy in the cute restaurant or take away to the beach, work or a relaxing afternoon at home. Now, about the food. I got more than we needed but couldn't resist the offerings. The Cantaloupe and Crab soup was cold, creamy and delicious. It had a perfect amount of summertime sweetness from the crab and the melon. This one was hard to share with my husband but I did it. I could eat it everyday all summer. Hubs had the Mortadella sandwich and I had the Italian Cold Cuts. Both were amazing. The bread was crispy outside and tender inside. The meats are very fresh and high quality. And the vinaigrette... well let's just say I could put that on everything. We also tried the Butterbean "pasta" salad with vinaigrette, salami, pepperoni, mozzarella, and cucumber. Holy smokes it was delicious. A nice change from standard pasta, especially in the south in the summer. It weirdly(in a good way) reminded me of childhood summers on my grandparents farm.
Of course there is wine and I had a very tasty, "lunchtime perfect" glass of Souleil Piquepoul while I waited for my to go order. It was yummy. I probably would have gotten a bottle but had already picked out 2 others. The wine selection is really well curated and prices are very fair.
The owners are so kind and are genuinely interested in their customers. Easy to talk to, obviously care about your experience and are extremely knowledgeable.
The menu changes regularly and I love that! In this small town it's so great to have a place that is always progressing and innovating.

Hands down the best food I have ever had. Sitting at the kitchen table was awesome - as we got to hear from the chef, who seems incredibly humble and authentic. The flavors, ingredients and passion that he puts together are other worldly. I'd put this food against anything in Charleston, Atlanta, NY or Paris.
