I wasn’t impressed the last time I went but decided to try it again. The only thing good about todays visit was I got front parking and I didn’t have to wait as they weren’t that busy at 8:45 on a Sunday morning. The staff wasn’t friendly. Our waitress was apparently put out that we were there or that she had to work or that we wanted to eat. She asked how I wanted my eggs and I told her fried hard with a runny middle and she told me no. So I asked her how I could have my eggs which were scrambled. I then asked what kind of cheese came in the grits and was told it was a pre shredded blend and I asked for American and was told no. Apparently they don’t serve American cheese. I wasn’t offered an alternative so I just got the cheddar blend. Lol. We asked for a plate so our 18 month old could share our food and we had to feed her on a napkin. The food came out and was cold. The French toast was obviously made in large batches and put to the side because it was actually starting to harden up. The grits were good but everything thing else was mediocre and not close to being worth $14. All in all it was less then average and I’m glad I didn’t have to wait. I’m not sure why there is a wait. They last time I came I did the soup and half sandwich. It was again mediocre and service was poor.

We had a basic breakfast here. Eggs and bacon, French toast, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy. It was all fine but didn’t stand out in any way. The coffee wasn’t great and the biscuits and gravy were so so. But our server was polite and professional. I recommend it if you’re hungry and just want a simple breakfast.

Great service, location and breakfast. Omelets-TX w chorizo and Florentine both yum. Fluffy biscuits, side of gravy. Great local atmosphere. Walked to restaurant and then around marina and downtown to work off a few calories.

As a table of two we waited almost an hour and a half for what was a microwaved egg bowl and a canned corned beef and hash with eggs. Server never checked on us once. Heavily considered at the hour mark leaving a $5 dollar bill on the table to cover the coffee and upon getting what was a very poor $36 dollar meal realized that's exactly what I should have done.

Yesterday, I had bagel/lox ?. Today just grits and bacon. I got to experience the ringing of the bell and EVERYONE standing to say The Pledge of Alligence. Love this atmosphere ❤️

Very good restaurant. Our server Kari is very, very good at her job. In a world of employee shortages make sure you don't lose this one.

The service was exceptional; very friendly and helpful staff. The food was mid; nothing to rave about. Unfortunately we didn't know that at 9 AM they ring a massive loud ship's bell and have everyone stand to say the Pledge of Allegiance. It is just. so. weird. If you have young kids or people on the autism spectrum in your family, avoid going at pledge time because it's loud and bizarre. I'll take my breakfast potatoes without a side of jingoism, thanks.ETA, because the restaurant has left an unhinged response and apparently can't tolerate diners with a variety of opinions and experiences... the autistic people in our party were upset by the noise and unexpected behavior and it affected their enjoyment of the meal. PS we're veterans. Calm down babe.

Fun atmosphere and nice breakfast spot in historic Beaufort. My wife has a gluten allergy and they had several items such as GF bread & bagels. Kari was our server and was very accommodating.

Was excited to try this restaurant based on the rave reviews. But we were thoroughly disappointed. From start to finish. My daughter ordered sweet tea and was brought black coffee over ice. The server said "oh it wasn't marked" whatever that's supposed to mean. My coffee was gross as was my wife's latte. It took 40 minutes to get our food. When it arrived it was cold. The eggs were dry. Pancake and biscuit bleh. The bill at the end was $65 and we really didn't get that much food. This place is seriously charing $3.25 for ONE EGG! And doing it with a straight face.I never complain but the server could see I was struggling. I explained to her my concerns and all she had to say was that the food was brought as soon as it was ready, which was an outright lie. Eggs, biscuits, hashbrowns, and pancakes don't get that cold walking from a kitchen up one flight of stairs. She asked me if I wanted to see the manager and I politely declined. I wasn't looking for a discount or anything for free. We ate the food, as mediocre as it was.I can honestly say this was one of the worst breakfast experiences we've ever had.The best part was when, at 9 am, we all stood and said the National Anthem. That was sweet and touching and a nice show of pride in our beautiful country. And the ambience was nice. Other than that.....meh. So disappointed.

We ate twice for brunch at this restaurant each time we stayed at The Beaufort Inn.The hotel gave breakfast voucher to use here and they serve a pretty good breakfast foodI always ordered the veggies omelette and my husband always get the 2 eggs breakfast and a meat, he opted for bacon. The service was okay since this place always busy and the last time we ate there our server was manning the whole second floor so we know she did the best that she can to accommodate every table and our server often stop by to make sure we are doing good.We recommend this place.
