Food was amazing, great service and drinks
Always a great experience and the food is outstanding!
Excellent food, service was superb, and prices about where things are now.
Delicious food! I had the short rib and my husband had the shrimp and grits. We also enjoyed some creme brûlée for dessert with some really delicious decaf coffee. We will return for more!
This was a fantastic place to eat in downtown Beaufort! The food, service, and atmosphere was spot on! We would definitely return!
Sometime word can't explain, please just go and try made my anniversary dinner feel special
Our entrees were Blackened Mahi and Local Shrimp & Day Boat Scallops, all very good. Our server was excellent and made us feel welcomed.
we never send food back but we ended up sending all 4 dishes back. The burger that was ordered to be cooked at medium was bleeding all over the plate- the bun was soggy and red. The “Risotto” was crunchy. Not al dente, uncooked and crunchy. we were there to celebrate, it was extremely disappointing. The worst part- they brought us the $300 bill without taking anything off, we had to go speak to the manager again. It is fine for there to be a few cooking errors along the way but then to not take accountability? Horrible experience, I will never dine there again. There are much better places in Beaufort.
Really enjoyed our food here, both the short rib and fried chicken. Both prepared very well. Server, Ozzy was experienced and very friendly. Definitely on our list for a return visit. Thanks!
Very good meal. Started with the tuna tartare, which was excellent. A disk of finely chopped sashimi grade tuna topped with a slightly spicy aioli drizzled over and house made chips. My companion enjoyed her fried green tomatoes special. A stack of tomato slices individually fried and stacked with pimento cheese in between the slices. Delightful. For the entree, the fresh catch was a pan seared grouper filet served over a bed a grits and topped with a chorizo sauce. While the individual components were all quite good, the chorizo sauce overwhelmed the delicate taste of the grouper. In this case, less is more. My companion had the grilled Caesar salad and fried oysters. Both well prepared.

The wait staff, Mary was friendly and accomodating. My dinner was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Always enjoyable dining at breakwater- the service and attention was excellent, the presentation very good and the food very good. The noise level, was high. Will return again.
Breakwater never fails, the good is consistently good with a nice variety in the daily specials. Week poured drinks and great seasoned servers. All make for a pleasant dinner out.
Food was delicious and a nice atmosphere. Server was polite but slow...don't know if she was distracted or forgetful.
We enjoyed the food very much. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a place by the street window, which was a bit chilly and the overall decor a bit dated. We will be back!
