Overrated. We recently moved from New England and were excited for a good Italian meal. Apps were good; main meals of chicken thigh over soggy mashed potatoes were very disappointing. Facility is old, worn and covered in cobwebs. Go to the Port Royal Farmers Market for some authentic Italian pasta!
I’ve been living in Beaufort for 1 1/2 years. I’ve dined in all the places here. It took me a minute to get into this place. I now know why. It is exceptional. The food was the best in town. The service was the best in town. The wine selection was the best in town. Make this a stop when you come to Beaufort. Reserve early. The pics don’t do justice to the flavor within. Regret not getting the dessert images.
An amazingly unique and classy place. Perfect for a date night! For those looking to be fed an abundance of mediocre food this is not your place. Quality and unbelievable flavor is served here not “quantity”. Go to the Olive Garden if you think the portions are small. My husband and I drive from FL to have dinner here and Griffin has become a very special place to us. The staff is small and truly feels like a family. The owner is proud and unapologetic over the fact he knows...
