I’ve been living in Beaufort for years and never heard of this place. I stumbled upon it by accident with my SIL and BIL. All the food we ordered was amazing! We ordered oysters and lobster rolls. We all agreed they were the best lobster rolls we’ve ever had and the fries were amazing. My SIL is hard to please and picky and she was super impressed. I can’t wait to go back and try some other menu items. Staff was also very warm and welcoming.

We sat at the bar and interacted with the Chef/owner and his sous chef (17) who were both so passionate. Go with the special no matter what it is. Highly recommend. Location is in a strip mall, get over that. ?
Really amazing food, phenomenal and friendly service. I had the fish special and a steamed bun. The lobster roll and sushi looked great too. AND they were super thoughtful and accommodating for my friend who had food allergies. Thank yall!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Locals Raw Bar, and it exceeded all our expectations! The sushi was incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. The seafood options were impressive.. my husband had the lobster roll and said it was as good as any you could get in Key West. I had the hog fish and oh my goodness it was so good and flavorful . The ambiance was cozy and the service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just craving delicious seafood, Locals Raw Bar is the place to go. I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal!

To say the least, Local’s is simply outstanding; although a little pricey, Chef Hunter and his excellent crew of enthusiasts workers are sure to give you more bang for your buck. Local’s offers an open bar kitchen where you can sit back, have a drink, tune into some Southern tunes all while you watch your food being cooked and served with only the freshest, homemade in house ingredients. Local’s also offers an incredible, creative selection of menu items both for their lunch and dinner services; additionally, every so often Chef Hunter will think outside the box from his regular American-Japanese style cuisine and present his breathtaking takes on other styles of cooking! Some examples include, but not limited to: Crab Quesadillas, Authentic Mexican Tortas, and Watermelon Gazpacho. Local’s Raw Bar is and probably forever will be a dear memory I will cherish of my youthful years spent here in Beaufort, South Carolina. Don’t be a stranger, come be a local here at Local’s Raw Bar!

I love this place. I’ve dined here, I’ve worked here, and made friends here. I’m new to beaufort, and this was the first restaurant I visited. I only had to try the sushi to be swept off my feet. I’m a bit picky in terms of good quality food, and this place does not and will never disappoint you in terms of that. They do everything right here, and it is local, state-of-the-arts goodness. If you want professional quality, appearance, and taste, come here. The price is worth the hospitality and the experience that the chefs and staff possess.
