To be clear this review is about the on-line store/ Cannery ran by Dwight Garrett. We have been going to low country produce for over 20 years. The last two Christmases we have ordered from the on line cannery store. Without fail our card would be charged but we would never get any product. We tried to give them a break as they are local and we enjoy them. However, Dwight Garett constantly gave us the run around about the situation and he is Very Hard to get ahold of. Last time I called and spoke to a waitress who told me she gets these calls every couple weeks but he is an owner and she cannot do anything. We finally got ahold of Wendy (a manager) who was very respectful and just a joy to talk to. I told her I have no choice but to file a Police report unless this gets fixed today She put me in touch with another owner named Noel. Noel cares tremendously, and is a very good owner. He fixed the situation that day and made it right with us. That being said it should not have gotten to this point after almost two years. While I will still give them my business after talking to Noel. I highly recommend you do not utilize the online store until such time Dwight Garett is no longer running it.

This place was a disappointment as we went because a local shop owner said it was great , yet not our experience at all.Restaurant is formerly an old bank building and was very, very cold due to low temps outdoors and little to no heating. Everyone ate wearing their coats !!The greeting on arrival for Sunday brunch was none except to be told to “ sign in” by male server. After a few minutes I approached another server and were seated.A request for hot soup was met with “” we ran out of all soups” Both our food orders were wrong as my friend received salmon instead of crab cake and my salad arrived missing items mentioned on menu. Both food items were returned and corrected yet sadly our mood was no longer one of anticipation but disappointment due to cold, lack luster interest by servers and delayed ordersOn a positive note the place does employ a sharp and service oriented employee named Paige. Kudos to her for jumping in and trying to salvage a not pleasant experience. Regretfully not the dining or service experience we expected in Beaufort.

Their fresh glazed donuts are the best I’ve ever had. We got four and they were hot and light and they were sitting in a small pool of delicious glaze. Also the cheese grits. The oyster poboy mostly tasted like breading though the bun was good. It’s a pretty place but mostly jars of jam and preserves and some frozen breads and tomato pies. Broccoli salad also unusually crisp and fresh tasting.

Nice country ambiance with good prices and very good portions. Wait staff was pleasant on the day we were there. We will definitely go again. Really enjoyed the experience. Very nice restaurant just outside of Beaufort SC. Sister restaurant in downtown Beaufort is also quite good but I prefer to go to this one in Lobeco just for the unique location and authentic southern country time!

We enjoyed a great breakfast on a Sunday morning. Also have a cute shop attached and the dish towels for sale are beautiful!
