I have been twice on Saturday for drinks and this morning for breakfast. Having ordered both times online, they were out of items. Was told they were out of the item. Did not offer a substitute of equal value or my money refunded. This morning, my order was for biscuit and gravy meal. They did over a biscuit with jelly; definitely not equal value. Very poor service and lack of knowledge by the staff how to handle shortage of food products. I do not recommend the McDonalds on Lady’s Island, South Carolina. I will not be going back to this location. I will say that the Manager in Charleston at Highway 17 is outstanding. The facility is clean and you get what you order. Also, the Manager and his staff are friendly and talks to their customer.

After waiting over 15 minutes (11:20 a.m.)in the drive thru, order already paid for on the app, the manager decided to get confrontational with me because they weren't ready for lunch, and refused to serve my order. She stated "it's not my fault you can't go home and cook your family food" (Im not from the area) and again refused to serve my child's happy meal that was already paid for and I had been stuck in the drive through with cars in front and behind me. My child's insulin dropped so bad that morning that I had to rush her to the E. R. Her name is Melissa Shultz and she told me to let her manager know because she didn't care if she got fired.

Kid-friendliness: The manager refused to serve my child's happy meal as she was having an insulin crisis.

We ordered quarter pounders so they would be fresh. The buns were hard and chewy. The manager was great he refunded our money and made them fresh.

I ordered through the breakfast application, I arrived late (breakfast time had ended) due to traffic, the passive aggressive Manager did not want to resolve in any way to provide me with customer service...he only repeated over and over again that the system would cancel my order. No type of leadership or customer service.

I absolutely despise this location. I have lived here for 3 years and it's been the worst location I have ever been to. 1. They never have enough staff. 2. Even with staff it always takes 15+ minutes to get through the drive through and typically It's 20 mins or more. 3. Attitudes of employees suck and they don't want to be there. 4. The ice cream machine hasn't been ran in 3 years. 5. They pick and choose when you can or can't eat or order inside. Nothing consistent.
This store went under new management a little over a year ago. When new manager came in it was the first and only time this location ran like it should. For about 2 weeks and now it's back to being the worst. This is supposed to be convenient but it isn't.
This morning I placed mobile order to pick up as my son had an early appointment. I sat at the drive thru for the lady to take 3 orders in the other lane but never took an order for the lane I was in. And both lanes were full of cars. The lady apologized for wait and stated she was alone. Yet when at windows there were 3 people there. I had sat in line for over 20 minutes. I ended up canceling my order and driving across town to order so my son wasn't late.
I placed mobile order several weeks ago. Decided to go inside to pick up to make it easier on the staff, They cleared out all of the drive through traffic (8 vehicles) before acknowledging me. There was plenty of staff and those working the front were chatting and it took me nearly 30 minutes to be acknowledged and receive my food.
This location needs strong leadership and help.

Plain and simple, multiple employees standing outside of main door smoking weed. I had to walk through the smoke and wait on them to come in and assist me. Pathetic!

It took over 15 minutes to get three breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. There were only 4 cars in line and one left. When I got to the window, the guy didn't give me my total, just reached for my payment. I had to ask for the total. He was more concerned with his cell phone than serving the customers. Even though the pick-up window guy was friendly and upbeat, I will be going across the street to Wendy's where they are friendly, seem to care about service and I got the same order for less than $7 that I paid over $15 for at McDonald's.

I asked the employee why my order hasn't come up yet and others that ordered behind me has. His response was there's a lot going on and he doesn't have time for anything else. I have to wait until the kitchen sends it out. Waiting over 5 minutes for coffee , hashbrown, and a chicken mcgriddle is ridiculous. I was the only customer inside. Is that the type of employee McDonald's hire?
