Papaya Thai & Sushi Bar

My son and I ate here for the first time after it was highly recommended. The sushi and Thai was amazing and the customer service was superb. We will be back again and again!

What a lovely first visit! The staff was so friendly and didn’t mind taking the time to explain dishes to me. The Thai tea was recommended and oh that right there makes me want to return. I am southern and love my sweet tea but this tea was complex and on a different level of deliciousness! I ordered the pineapple stir fry and the vegetables were the star of the show. I would have rather had unbattered chicken in the dish but that’s personal preference more than a ding on the dish.
It’s a lovely place and will return.

the food was absolutely fabulous! Me and my husband have traveled many states before and tried different restaurants especially local but this restaurant was really good! And I highly recommend coming here.

Papaya's Pad Thai & drink selection was spectacular! Thank you Noy for working so hard as our server today! We will be back for great drinks & fresh sushi!

2 pieces of advice: have a sign up that says seat yourself. Direct foot traffic to your beautiful front entrance with papaya trees! The back entrances smells of dumpster and gives a terrible first impression. We understand that we live in a world of short staffed restaurants. Thank you for providing delicious food!

This is a lovely gem of a restaurant that serves up delicious Thai food and sushi. Close to USCB and downtown, Papaya is a cheerful little place with friendly staff, quick service, and a laidback feel. A great array of sushi rolls (some original to the restaurant) and bowls, and a good selection of traditional Thai food. LOVED my Green Dragon Roll and Tom Kha Soup. There was also a fun Thai beverages menu. There were three of us and we all enjoyed our dishes. I thought the prices were very reasonable. So glad to know about this place!

All I can say is WOW, so similar to actually Thailand food in Thailand. Can’t believe it! Super love this place and definitely have to return many more times. Had Red Chicken Curry level 3 of 5; to get myself used to the heat again. Wife had Level 1 and then changes to zero spice. I asked to make hers a level 3 for my lunch tomorrow.

This food!!! OMGOODNESS!!! This is some of the best Thai I've had in a while. I ordered the sweet Basil w/tofu and a ginger salad. The food was delicious ?! It was "Thai hot" as I requested. The tofu was seasoned well...some of the best I've had in a while. The wait was slightly long compared to what I'm used to but it was well worth it!! The prices are comparable to what I'm used to paying. I well definitely return when I'm back in town!

Vegetarian options: I believe just about every entrée h as a vegetarian option.

Dietary restrictions: We love the vegetarian options. There are plenty.

Food and service were great and prices are reasonable. The waitress, Chelsea, was very accommodating. We ordered the Dragon roll, Stir fry, and Maki Combo. This was the first good sushi place I’ve found in Beaufort. I definitely recommend and will be back.

For the amount of money we spent on this food, this was extremely disappointing!!
We requested beef Thai fried rice and got chicken instead… it’s even stated on the receipt printed on the bag!
In addition to that, I found a piece of tin foil inside of the dynamite roll. ??? Someone could have seriously swallowed that.
I’d like a refund ??‍♀️
