Came to Beaufort to experience the low country, but here at the red rooster we found the slow country. Slightly warm biscuits and gravy. Had to ask for a coffee refill only for the waitress half fill with less than warm coffee. No follow up on how the food. having to stop her for everything was like she didn't care if we wanted anything else. Our visit was at 10:15am. On a Tuesday

Absolutely fabulous restaurant that was a bit difficult to find but once I got there, well worth it. They serve breakfast and lunch. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict and it was great. Perfectly poached eggs and the crab cakes were light and flavorful. They serve a southwestern type of cornbread that actually tastes more like cake. Yummy. I'll certainly go back now that I know how to find it. Google maps kept telling me to turn left once I turned into the parking lot but since I did not see the restaurant, I kept going straight. No worries, it is located directly in front of the Hilton Garden Inn and is attached to the Nautilus Seafood and Grill. Go have some breakfast.

Ate at this place today for lunch. They came across as a Soulfood restaurant was looking for fried pork chops, Fried chicken, Homemade vegetables. None of that I had a bowl of French onion soup It was very good. My wife had a bacon cheeseburger which came out without the Bacon. I ate half of that the Burger it was so so. The waitress did a good job. The hostess was kind. We had to wait 10 minutes to get in. The question I always ask? Would you eat the same thing again or come back to this place again? Yes to the French onion soup no to the Burger. And no in regards to coming back.

I usually order lunch to be picked up; Miso Yummy Salad & a Fried Green Tomato BLT. Sandwich is fine but the last two times, the salad has been really bad. The lettuce is limp and brown, sparse veggies and today they forgot to put any dressing (as requested) with it. For the price point, it is not a good value and from now on I'll go somewhere else.

The food was okay. I had the grilled cheese with the basil tomato soup. The soup was really good, but amazingly enough, the sandwich had little flavor. My husband had the Philly cheese sandwich with homemade potato chips. He said it was okay. The chips were overdone. The atmosphere was loud and noisy. We waited for a hostess to seat us 10 minutes. To give proper perspective, it was a Saturday at around 12:30.

Red Rooster has good food and a good atmosphere. Today I ordered the breakfast plate. The breakfast plate had scrambled eggs, grits, turkey sausage, and toast. I told them no cheese, and no parsley. And the young lady who took my order over the phone got everything right. My breakfast was very tasty. This morning the restaurant was very busy, and I wish I got the young lady's name, but she handled the front well. Because she took call in orders, and walk in orders. All while, one of the computers not working. Plus the register didn't have any receipt tape. But kudos to her because she stayed professional despite what all was going on. I've eaten inside the restaurant too. And it was a pleasant experience.

Walked in was greeted , server came up immediately got drinks quickly I got the coffee flight it was good husband got the special teddy graham latte it was iced and delicious !!! French toast 10/10 everything was delicious ! Will come back to try lunch items !
