The Rhett House Inn is where we went for our honeymoon. It is the epitome of Southern charm and hospitality. The coastal setting, quaint rooms and spacious porches make you want to grab a coffee or glass of wine and spend hours relaxing on the porch. The French toast and blueberry pancakes at breakfast are some of the best we have ever had! I highly recommend- we will be back!!

We were coming to celebrate our anniversary, we had to check in late because of a sickness at home. We checked in about 10:30 on Monday night. We were very tired and was getting ready to go to bed when my husband turned the cover back and there was a pair of men’s underwear. We were shocked.it was late so we had no other choice but to stay the night. The next morning we went to the check in desk to report what we had experienced. The Lady at the desk was very rude. We checked out!! No one ever contacted us to apologize.

We were here for our Anniversary & really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful old home. Beautiful setting & the Live Oak trees are magnificent. We walked around the back of the home & visited a old cemetery that was so interesting. One grave was from 1774. The highlight of our stay was the wonderful breakfast, the blueberry pancakes were delicious & the water was so friendly & nice. My only complaint was that the pillows on the bed were a little too fluffy, otherwise everything else was perfect. Thank you 😍

After a hugely frustrating car collection from Budget at Charleston airport (which took over 2 hours), I arrived at the Rhett House inn and was complemented with a glass of wine. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff in a beautiful historic home which is full of character. It feels more like you're staying in someones home rather than a hotel. All of the furnishings and lighting create an incredibly intimate atmosphere.

The rooms themselves are very spacious and even little things like a dressing gown or the nice scent in the room creates enhanced the experience. The open plan porch area means you can sit outside in the evening or in the morning and all the guests are very talkative and interesting. As other reviewers have mentioned the location is fantastic too with a 2 minute walk to the Beaufort River and easy access to downtown with the option of renting a free bicycle to do the Spanish moss trail. This is the 2nd time I've stayed, and I'm sure there will be a 3rd in years to come.

Great place for a weekend get-away!

Rooms desperately need touching up, especially bathrooms, as shower faucets spun around & wouldn't turn off, plus bath cupboard door was falling off hinges. Could be a great spot if tended to

We absolutely loved our stay at The Rhett House Inn in Beaufort! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by its historic beauty and the incredibly warm and welcoming staff. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the Historic District and close to everything we wanted to explore.

Our room was cozy, spotless, and had a lovely private veranda where we enjoyed our morning coffee. The Southern-style breakfast was amazing (we’re still thinking about those blueberry pancakes!!!), and the desserts in the evening were such a sweet touch.

The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, offering really helpful recommendations and always making us feel at home. If you’re visiting Beaufort, this is the place to stay—full of charm, comfort, and great hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!

The Rhett House Inn was the perfect spot for our family getaway to Beaufort! The historic charm of the property, paired with its ideal location in the heart of the Historic District, made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with a private veranda that quickly became our favorite place to relax. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious—think Southern classics like biscuits, grits, and eggs—and the homemade desserts in the evening were such a treat. The staff really stood out—they were so friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We felt truly taken care of. This is such a special place, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

My husband and I recently got married in the garden here at the inn. We rented out the Newcastle house, which includes rooms 19, 20, a full kitchen and living room, for the bridal party to get ready in. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job with the cleanliness and service they provided to ensure we had the most memorable experience possible. The staff here is amazing and happy to help with anything and everything you could need to make sure you have the best time staying with them. Love, love, loved our beautiful stay!
