The Ribaut Social Club certainly made my husband's 65th birthday celebration extra special. We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather so we could sit on their porch with a view of the water. We started with shrimp cocktail with the biggest shrimp I have ever seen. Local shrimp is always the best! Next up was cream of mushroom soup with perfect flavor and the correct temperature - nice and hot! For entrees we had the salmon and crab cake. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the crab cake was filled with lump crab. Our server, Misty, is the wife of the chef and she took excellent care of us. She even sent us up to the roof of the building to share a glass of sparkling wine to watch the sunset. A delicious birthday brownie in the lobby of this beautiful Inn rounded out the evening perfectly. The hospitality of all the staff was overwhelming. We will cherish the memories made in Beaufort at the Ribaut Social Club for a very long time.

The ambience was amazing - very historic hotel / restaurant. Our waitress Isabell was delightful. We had the cauliflower soup (divine), shrimp cocktail appetizer (tasty and clever), and split the scallop main course (YUMMY). Serving sizes are very big.....we split and still had left overs. I wanted to try the dessert, but was too full. We ate on the porch and were able to take in the sunset. Thank you.

Very interesting menu, apparently sourced daily. Soup and crispy VA oysters were outstanding. Tile fish with vegetables was excellent. Excellent, attentive and informed staff. In a charming old mansion, serving as a B&B, on Bay Street with views of the water. Outdoor seating weather permitting. Not a place to go for a cheap date.

Went for our 40+ anniversary, had been there before and enjoyed it immensely. Setting and service were top notch, just what we wanted. Ordered the double pork chop and filet entrees, both were very well prepared with the exception of overwhelming salt, which was also applied to the potatoes and asparagus sides. There was no way to get around the excessive salt applied to the entire plate, it completely buried the flavors of the meats and vegetables to the point of either of us wanting to pursue the entire dinner. Salt is definitely a flavor enhancer but in this case was a killer. Please back off significantly.

We were staying at Anchorage Inn for 2 nights and had reservations for 4 at The Ribaut Social Club with friends living in Palmetto Bluff . We had a fabulous dinner! We had numerous items on the menu and the food was delicious. The flavors, textures and presentations were amazing. We absolutely love the Anchorage 1770. We'll be back!

What a lovely experience. We stayed at the Anchorage 1770 and had dinner at the restaurant that night. The hotel and restaurant are so charming. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner and the chef changes the menu daily. We had the scallops and mushroom risotto and the shrimp and grits. Both selections were just delicious. The owners and staff were so welcoming. True southern hospitality!!

Amaazing food! The whole experience from start to finish was great! Waitress so friendly, kind and recommended great entrees...The food can't get better and the prices are fair for the portion size! Had surf and turf entree and scallops cooked to perfection!

Small dinning room in historic downtown inn. Service was very good with thorough explanations about each item on the menu as the menu changes daily. Some will think it is expensive but the portions are very large. We brought home plenty for another meal. Very nice for special occasions.

Surf and turf, prime rib dinners were excellent. Service on point. Highly recommend. Better wine selection, and wine glasses were OK. The wine and stemware does not match the food quality and presentation.

Disorganized service. Under staffed (even with only a few tables occupied). Poor quality wine list. Sad crab cake, full of stuffing. Large shrimp cocktail, not very tasty shrimp. (You have to work preffy hard in Beaufort not to have delicious shrimp.) Decent filet. Good trout. Hardly edible dessert. We don’t mind expensive if service and food are good. But not here. My wife and I had such high hopes. What a shame.

By far the best brunch I've ever had. The entire experience was fantastic. Staff was friendly, greeting us with mimosas while allowing us to explore the premises. We had French toast and crab cake eggs Benedict and both dishes were amazing. The only regret we have is not dining there sooner. We look forward to exploring their dinner soon.

Wonderful dining experience, from the ambience to the quality and quantity of food. The setting and location are both amazing. Wine prices are reasonable, with high prices for the food. The food is done so well it's well worth the price. Enjoyable evening was worth the trip to beautiful Beaufort.

We booked dinner through Open Table for 6:15 PM on 2/16/24 for my birthday night out. Arrived at 6:00 ,,, the place was deserted. We were told by the only person in the building that our reservation was cancelled. She was astonished that we were not aware that the chef had gotten ill and had gone home. Well, I had confirmed at 2 PM that we would be there and we received no text, call or email prior to our reservation time. We met people at another restaurant later that night who had also had a reservation and had not been contacted that it was cancelled. If you have a reservation (especially for a special occasion) call ahead!!~

Food and service were very good. Unfortunately, our table was near the front door. It was a chilly evening and there was a lot of activity through the entrance making it a bit uncomfortable. We expected to be in the normal dining area which is protected. It was Valentine's Day and the volume necessitated the seating plan. We were unlucky. It would be beneficial to have a restroom on the main floor.

We loved this sweet dining experience in a true historic home in Beaufort on the waterfront! Sarah, our server, was so good to us & chef Daniel was so impressive with the delicious flavors we were delighted to explore on our last Valentine’s Day as boyfriend & girlfriend/fiancés….
