My wife and I dine at Saltus frequently, but usually sit at the bar and just enjoy ourselves. The food, the friendly, relaxed but attentive service, and the overall atmosphere keep us coming back. This time, however, we were having dinner with friends/relatives we rarely see, who were visiting Beaufort for the first time. Since this was Oyster Fest weekend, the restaurant was very busy and we booked an early table. We were having a very nice time, and ended up staying longer than we probably should have. However, at no point did we ever feel the least bit rushed. On the contrary, everyone did everything they could to make us feel relaxed and well taken care of. I am hoping our lingering did not end up making anyone else wait for a table, but so appreciate the excellent, patient service we received.

Great all around. Our server was fantastic! We had the crab bisque and ordered an extra side of crab to go in it. It was the bomb. The flavor was really good. My husband had a very good Delmonico steak. I had the salmon belly sashimi which was awesome, the fried oysters had more personality than most fried oysters which were delightful, and the steak tar tar which was very good but not the best I've ever had ( best at a real French restaurant). I'd like to go back when it's not dark outside so I can enjoy the view. Will definitely go back.

Everything is excellent except for the soup that my husband order ( crab bisque). The taste is excellent but it is cold. Had to ask the waiter to reheat it. The waiter is very courteous.

We kicked off New Year's Eve with dinner at Saltus River Grill and are glad we did. Visiting a new area it's always a bit of a challenge finding the standout restaurants. We checked reviews and decided this was the place for a nicer dinner. They didn't disappoint. We were served by Kelsey, who is just so charming and upbeat. She knew the menu well, had the specials down pat and made some great suggestions. We wound up thoroughly enjoying Grilled Oysters and their Crab Cake for apps and the Scallops and whole Flounder for dinner and each was beautifully plated and really tasty. I found the sides to be as unique and mouthwatering as the mains so it was a great meal for both of us all around. When back in the area, I would certainly return and savor more delights from their menu. And, again... shout out to Kelsey who made the meal a pleasure with her attentive and perfectly timed service.

Outstanding! First time here in Beaufort and look forward to coming back here! I ordered the Blackened Dorado (Mahi and Potato Gratin in mustard beurre blanc) and a ceaser as a starter. Loved the flavor and overall service. Will definitely recommend this to anyone passing through or looking for a fine dining experience.
Got a steak wedge salad and dessert. Staff friendly. Nice tall ceilings. A nice quant place with fresh seafood and steaks.

What a fantastic food venue. The scallops absolutely melted in your mouth and the bread pudding for dessert was served warm with vanilla ice cream. It was off the chain. I live in Michigan and have a second home in Beaufort. We always visit Saltus River Grill whenever we are in town.

We shared the half pound fried shrimp appetizer, I got the shrimp and grits. Others in group got spicy tuna roll, scallops and Filet mignon. Great service and food.

Food was wonderful. Service not so much. We had to wait 10+ minutes to get water and greeted by our server when we arrived. I had to get up to ask another server for refills on water, order dessert and get our bill. Our server sucked to be honest but the other employees seemed a lot friendlier than him.

It was a nice evening with enjoyable food. I wish there were more gluten-free options on the menu instead of just three. It would be nice for other diners to be able to select more cuisine rather than restricted to only three. It was a bit noisy for a Monday night and very busy.
