My husband and I were on our way to downtown Beaufort for dinner when we were caught in Saturday 's downpour. We decided to go to Scratch, since we were right down the road. Probably the most unwelcoming restaurant I have ever entered: sterile, bland, and absolutely no atmosphere. We decided to sit at the bar so that my husband could watch the golf tournament on TV. To be fair, it was late afternoon. But we were the only customers there. After tasting the food, I knew why. I ordered chicken parm. I can't describe the consistency of the "meat" because it was SOLID. Even poorly cooked chicken can be separated. But this resembled wax. After two bites. I sent it back. My husband ordered the Alfredo dish which was runny and bland. The manager was very nice and took my meal off of the bill. I spoke with her for a few minutes after. I told her that it was our first time there, and also our last. She explained that the feedback from the community was that the restaurant and menu offerings were considered "too high end" for the area. That was hard to imagine. The food was awful and the stark design of the decor did not lend itself to anything close to that standard. As I said, the manager was very nice but she didn't seem the least bit surprised at my comments. Ironically, we will Scratch this restaurant from our list.

Ate dinner last night had the pomodoro and meatballs. Pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, and the meatballs were some of the best I’ve ever had!
Service was great! Looks like they have pizza coming soon, can’t wait to come back and give it a try!

We stopped in for dinner while in town visiting family. Only waited a few minutes for table for six. Appetizers were delicious, drinks were awesome and our entrees were very good. Our server was great, very attentive and wonderful personality. I was skeptical based on some reviews and word of mouth but we enjoyed everything and will return again.

Excellent evening last night when my husband and I were there for dinner. Attention to details by our hostess and then our server was amazing, food prepared by the chef was delicious with nicely done presentation. The atmosphere was casual but elegant at the same time.

It would be nice if they had some gluten-free options, but at least they get their flour from Italy apparently, so hopefully no garbage preservatives. Great food and good service. Definitely recommend!

I so wish this place was downtown for the views and it would be perfect. Food is good, I feel you get what you pay for in proportions. Drinks are STRONG. The staff is friendly and easygoing.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. It is not your run of the mill Italian restaurant. The recipes are creative and with a unique menu. However, there has been a shift since April. The food is more just ok now. We went back a second time to see if it was just a once off but it was the same. This is also the same with the service. We are no longer greeted with water and bread but have to ask for it. And this last time, had to remind their server. I am sad.

I liked the resterant better when it was fat Patti's. The menu is very small and overpriced. I will not be back

We ordered the meatball appetizer, and the chicken Alfredo for our main course. The menu items were delicious. The bread that was served with rosemary olive oil was really bland and I couldn't even tell it had a rosemary flavor to it.
I was disappointed in the cost of the meals for the portion size but I understand the work that goes into making food from scratch.
Overall, we enjoyed the experience but with that price point, we will only be dining here for special occasions.

Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Beaufort. The pasta is a little heavy for me but overall everything is wonderful. One of my favorite things is the dipping bread. Oh and the lemomcello. Hannah has waited on us several times and she is very attentive and sweet.

First time coming in since they switched from Fat Patties. Food was great, was not busy at all, server was attentive and knowledgeable with the menu.
Reading the reviews we were nervous about trying. I am glad we did. The only thing we definitely did not care for was the EVOO for focaccia bread it was plain and too much rosemary herb taste….. a big no. Other than that everything else was good.
