The salmon nagiri was some of the best I've had, and their Rock n Roll sushi roll was a hit with the wife! Will definitely come back next time I come through town!

After reading about Sumo Hibachi and Sushi, we decided to give it a try for our hibachi cravings, and it did not disappoint. With just 50 reviews, this hidden gem surprised us with its exceptional food and service.

We ordered the large steak and shrimp express bowl, and it was fantastic. The express bowl is a great option if you prefer a large serving of fried rice and meat without the vegetables, which suits my taste perfectly. My partner opted for the chicken and shrimp hibachi, which included a generous portion of vegetables and was equally delicious.

To start, we had clear soup and two cheesesteak egg rolls, both of which were amazing. The clear soup was refreshing and topped with mushrooms, setting a great tone for the meal. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, a delightful appetizer.

The food at Sumo Hibachi and Sushi was cooked to perfection. The steak, shrimp, and chicken were all tender and seasoned just right. We also ordered a pint of their homemade yum yum sauce, which was a hit. I love drizzling yum yum sauce over my fried rice, while my partner prefers to dip, making it the perfect addition to our meal.

The staff were incredibly polite and courteous, adding to the pleasant dining experience. The restaurant's prices are very reasonable, making it one of the better Asian dining options in Beaufort, especially if you're looking for delicious food without breaking the bank. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us with enough leftovers for another meal.

The seating area was clean and modern, creating a comfortable atmosphere for dining. The chicken hibachi was particularly noteworthy, with the vegetables lightly sauced to allow their natural flavors to shine through.

Overall, Sumo Hibachi and Sushi has won us over as regular customers. The combination of excellent food, friendly staff, and great prices makes it a standout choice in Beaufort. The staff were friendly and the decor was nice. The food had liquid smoke in everything including the salad dressing. It became difficult to eat because of the smoke flavor was so overpowering. It was a bit like eating campfire ashes.

Got a volcano roll and the tuna in the middle was crumbly. The plates are really good with the chicken and veggies!

I would’ve given a five out of five stars if I would’ve gotten Japanese soy sauce to go with my sushi for the order I made to be delivered to my house. The food was amazing, but it does not go well with Chinese soy sauce.
