If you’ve never been there before you’ll probably enjoy it. The view of Beaufort is the best. Don’t go expecting the food quality to be what once was. The big, fabulous, never frozen burger with a big sturdy bun is no more. 😓 Now it’s just another messy burger at a bar with a view.
Val and Button RULE!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My husband and I are from Indiana and have been traveling to Beaufort every year for the last eight years and we make a point to stop at The Fillin’ Station FIRST, simply because it’s the best and it’s because of people like Val and Button that make sure it ALWAYS feels that way. Quite honestly, even servers that we’ve had in the past have always been top-notch, to the point where I still have friendships through social media because of this very place. The last few times that we’ve come in, we’ve actually been recognized/remembered. We immediately feel like family and we feel welcomed. We feel respected. We feel at home. Did I mention we only come to Beaufort once a year?! Yeah, that’s how wonderful our experience is and that’s how welcoming Val and Button, and the rest of the staff are at The Fillin’ Station! VAL AND BUTTON, FOREVER!! FILLIN’ STATION, FOREVER! We cannot thank you enough! Mad love and mad respect, Britt and Ben from Indiana(eventually Beaufort😜)
Always a perfect Sunday with brunch and Campfire Tyler! Food is always amazing and the staff is the best!
Jen is the best bartender!
Been coming here for years, love our bartenders and Roger's cooking. Val & Button are always on point.
The atmosphere has changed though - it's no longer the dive bar we loved. People are bringing their kids here now and it's odd.. kids at a dive bar?
Suddenly Seeing negative reviews because people think they know better. When it's Pork chop night, it's Pork chop night. When there's Redfish & Grits or Shrimp & grits for lunch, then that's what's on. Not every kitchen is built the same, and it's certainly not a chain restaurant. If you want Sysco, go somewhere else.
Main reason we come here is for the waterfront view from deck. There are new owners transitioning and I am very hopefully that they will make some needed improvements — while keeping the dive bar feel. I have to agree with some of the past poor reviews. As a local, the bar staff can have attitudes and unfriendly, food quality had been better years ago and the parking can be a challenge at busy times. With that being said — the view keeps us coming back!
So glad we have locally owned Fillin Station! Casual, Food, Fun, Views! Took me years to have the nerve to walk in… Now it’s my go to!

Great view and the sandwiches were great
No one greets you. And if you go Monday - Thursday they have $10 specials. Which would be nice if you liked the special that day, but that apparently means you can’t order ANYTHING else as far as food goes. We went on a Thursday and tried to get a shrimp basket but you’re only allowed to eat pork chops on Thursday so we left. Staff seems like they maybe only cater to locals and if you’ve never been there, they just look at you like what are you doing here. Dirty blonde lady behind the bar was rude.
Stopped going due to rude service especially from previous owner himself. Recently heard they are under new ownership(same staff though). I like the new changes with cheaper cover charge, the daily food where they actually utilize their potential. Have not dined in but plan on it soon as I follow the new developments. Maybe karaoke at some point and perhaps some better leadership will encourage staff to appreciate their patronage. Looking forward to seeing this develop and recommend giving this place a second or third chance given the positive responses from new owners.

Coldest beer I've ever had! Food was delicious and our bartender was fantastic! Love this place! Definitely will be returning next trip to Beaufort!
Great dockside spot. We enjoyed it!
My husband and I LOVE this place and visit multiple times every time we find ourselves in Beaufort. We love the laid-back local vibe and the marsh view outside – it's low country through and through! Everything we have ever eaten there has been delicious!
Super casual, rustic and great service! Charleston friends reminds me of the old Bert’s but on the creek.
Friendly staff, great view, good food, and music. What could be better!
