Excellent! That is the best way that I can think of to begin describing this wonderful gem! I'm definitely not a food critic but I do know what I like. The food was outstanding and the entire staff was wonderful to be around. I drive several miles just to come here and I must say that I have never been disappointed 😋

What a great find while out on the motorcycle, on a beautiful late summer day. I had heard about this place and wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. I had the BLT, which was on large, toasted wheat bread, and packed with BLT! My waitress was very good, efficient and nice. The atmosphere was old country store, sans the grocery items, it is strictly a restaurant. A building off to the side offered outdoor tables. It's a hour and 45 minute ride from my home and well worth it.

What a treasure in this little area. My aunt and I stopped in today and had the tomato pie. And it was delicious. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Made sure to keep our drinks full. And we loved the building and atmosphere. If you are looking for a great place off the beaten path, be sure and stop in. Will be returning when im back in the area.

A truly delightful dinner experience at Grits and Groceries!
We visited on a Thursday night with a large group of 11, including 3 small kids, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were able to sit outside where the kids could run around freely while we enjoyed live music in the background—such a charming atmosphere!
The food came out incredibly fast and was absolutely delicious. Out of the 11 meals we ordered, every single one was thoroughly enjoyed. It’s rare to find a place that nails it across the board, but Grits and Groceries did just that.
We’ll definitely be back for more tasty food and good vibes. If you haven’t tried this adorable, quaint spot—DO IT! You won’t regret it.

Ham balls were delicious . Vent above table was leaking I assume from a/c. Liked the old time counter and hard wood floor.
The parking lot isn't accommodating to sports cars. I pull in and destroy my lower lip to my front bumper. I call them to tell them about the incident and they call the cops on me instead of calling me and we handling it in a civil matter so I will be contacting my attorney. Don't recommend going here if you have a sports car the drive in to the parking lot is very bad!

What a cool little place! Great food and we loved the old southern charm of the property. Employees were so friendly and service was excellent. The Fried Hand Pies are so good! I bought one to go but wished I'd bought more. Definitely will be a return visit for us to try other menu items.

The waitress was very nice and the food was okay. This was our first time here, and we did not know you could eat inside as the name says we took the building was the location of cooking food a grocery store. I hate flies with a passion, mainly since my work trip i had to India.

This is definitely where you want to be! The food was amazing, and the portions were just right! The Hollandaise sauce was creamy, rich, and definitely the best that I have ever eaten! The fried chicken was fresh and juicy in the Red Rooster Bowl. Oh yeah, the Roosters name is Rudy!
