Stanton's Barbeque & Fish Camp

Great all around

I have been eating at Stanton's my whole life and nothinghas changed except the staff. You can watch the small airplanes come in and out on most Saturdays and Sundays. The food is great and the stuff is polite. Southern fried seafood and BBQ at its best.

The food was ok but the service need some work.

A good place to eat at

Small portions, slow service and check your ticket. Overcharged 8.50. Food is ok but are very small portions. Paper thin slices of cake etc.

Ordered a sandwich, side of okra, 6small hush puppies, tea, 1 slice of cake so thin looked like a slither. Lady charged me 23 dollars and some change. I called due to being overcharged and was told I was overcharged 8.50. I don’t live in that area. The food was just mediocre and nothing special. I’m sure everybody like it but I have been to many different places and it’s a rip off. Portions are for a baby.

Coming from Florida, our idea of BBQ is very different than South Carolina. So Stanton's isn't going to fair too well with folks like us. It may be some of the best that Carolina has to offer, but as for my suggestion, don't try opening a branch in Florida.

Visiting the area, didn't expect much from a place in the middle of nowhere. But the parking lot was full, which means the locals eat there - good sign! We both got seafood, which was cooked perfectly, and huge portions. I got two full meals out of it. The staff was really friendly and service was excellent

March 2024...Nice people, NONE of whom I encountered have any business in food service. Lukewarm, pasty food which took FOREVER...zero atmosphere with absolutely NO customer service. Went straight to Godfather's for a pizza. WOW.
