Do not overlook this gem! I mean it!! We are out of towers and were treated like family! That is rare in small towns anymore. The food was home-cooked and fresh! The fresh cut fries were legit too! Let me tell ya they don't skimp on portions either! The sweet tea and lemonade were to die for! Not overly sweet, just right! This place will now be a regular stop for us when we come into town!

Had to bug out of Myrtle Beach State Park on Monday for a few days, but the state gave us hosts, lots in Lee State Park in Bishopville, SC. I love the opportunity to visit small towns in the south, went to a cotton museum, drank a few beers with a vet at the legion, you will meet some of the nicest people in these towns, that will share the best stories and places to eat. Laney’s Pit Stop … the best double cheeseburger and hand cut fries I have met, not to mention the sweet tea. These are the reasons I will not eat at a chain restaurant while on the road. Like a stray dog I’ll be scratching at their door tomorrow, I saw wings on the menu.

Absolutely great food and great people! I ate the Philly chicken/cheese hot sub with raw fries and my husband had the Hot Brown (adding an egg to it), we also got the corn nuggets and cheese sticks! Everything we ate was SSSOOOO delicious and hot. Highly recommend this establishment and we will definitely be back again to eat!

Staff are curious and friendly my kind of food. Hot and filling. I stop by when I’m going through and have gone just to eat and come back home (45 minute drive one way) for me it’s worth it! Check it out it might be for you. O and make sure you gets Chads gravy on your fries! Whoo-aah!

Went there earlier with my boyfriend. The food is really good and all the staff were nice!! We got it to-go and ate at Lee State Park. Overall good experience.
